Chapter 20

Kong's POV

The rest of the days went by with a blink of our eye. We have been spending our days studying and we 5 even completed the assignments to be submitted after the break so that we can focus on arrangements. We divided the tasks and are gonna work on them after the exams.

We planned on going to our home for about 2days only. We wanted to come back soon in order to arrange things and to make sure nothing will go wrong. I and Arthit have been exchanging a couple of texts wishing luck in studying and some good night messages.

We also exchanged glances whenever we saw each other with smiles. They even asked us to teach them some topics in Calculus which we did happily. We also suggested some topics where they should focus without fail.

Tomorrow was the first exam for us and the first years also. I was still revising at 2 in the night when I heard a slight knock on the door. I was not expecting anyone at this time but still opened the door. I was surprised to see Arthit there. I was worried if something happened that he is here at this time. I let him come inside. I closed the door and turned towards him.

He took me with a surprise when he hugged me suddenly. He was a bit taller than me and he hugged me really tight making it hard for me to breathe.
"Art... Arthit... I am not able to speak." I said and he loosened the hug but did not let go.
"What happened Arthit... Let us sit and talk.." I said and then took his hand and made him sit on the chair. I cleared the books on the table and placed a glass full of water for him to drink. He drank the water and then spoke.

"P.. ! I am feeling nervous and scared for the exam P." He said looking at the floor. I could not help but burst into laughter. Here I was thinking that something serious happened and he is just nervous about the exam. He was glaring at me.. so I calmed myself first and asked him to look into my eyes.
"Nong Arthit... Tell me how many exams have you taken till now.. you even face many more tough competitions... then what are you scared of?" I asked him.

"P.. I am scared of letting you all down. You thought me and also guided me." He said slowly. Okay, now I understand where all this is coming from. I went and kneeled down in front of him and looked straight into his eyes.

"Arthit how many times have I told you that your hard work and determination is what we see. I have seen you working hard. Just give your best in the exam and let the results be.. don't worry about those. I have already told you but let me tell you... Whether it is a game.. an event or an exam result won't change anything all I want is for you to work hard and give your best." I said and could feel him relaxing. He hugged me again but a little calmly.

"Thank you P.. I needed that boost. P.. All the best.. even you have exams right." He said.
"Yeah thank you. And All the best to you to Nong. Don't stress much okay." I said while patting his shoulder.
"P.. I will go now... Good night P." He said while standing up...
"Good night Nong.. and be careful on your way back." I said while sending him off. He nodded and left. I came back and opened my books but I could only think about how Arthit hugged me a while ago. I shook my head and started revising. After a while, I called it a day and went to sleep.

Arthit's POV

I felt really calm and confident after visiting P'Kongpob. I might have surprised him but I could not stop myself. He casts a spell around me which calms me down completely. Like now.. I was really nervous before meeting him but after meeting him I am confident and relaxed. I made my way towards my dorm and revised a little before sleeping.

We saw each other again while passing through the corridor and just smiled. We were busy with exams after exams... I exchanged best of luck texts with P'Kongpob before exams and little smiles which gave me confidence whenever we saw each other. 

Today was our last exam. I and my friends decided to meet up in the canteen after the exam was over. We are going to leave to our hometown in the evening. I was the one to complete my exam first and I made my way to the canteen to wait for my friends.

After few minutes I saw that P'Kongpob and his friends made their way towards the canteen. I saw their faces.. they were all tired but happy at the same time... I heard that they going to spend their break together at P'Kong's place along with all their parents.

Wow.. they are really close even though they are together for 2 years. I was bought out of my thoughts when Knot and others called for me. We are always together since childhood and we are also neighbors. So we will obviously be together in the break. Also, we are going to take a major step of telling our parents about our love interest this time. They know our preferences and are always supportive. We all went to greet P'Kong and his friends. 

"Swadee khab P's" We all greeted. P'Kong saw us and gave a bright smile making me blind and my heart flutter... Ah, when I am going to own this cutie. Okay, relax Arthit, wait for the exact time.
 
"Swadee Nongs. How did you all do your exams?" P'Tew asked as P'Kong excused himself for answering a call. We were making a short conversation with them but my whole attention was towards P'Kong... I really want to know who is that in the call that he is really happy talking with. Okay, I accept I am jealous but that is to be kept aside.

"Guys... We can leave today evening to my place.. your parents have already reached there." P'Kong said excitedly. He was like a kid who just got his favorite candy... Aw so cute. 
"Okay Kong relax... I know you are excited and I bet even our parents will forget us while feeding you." P'Em said in a sulking voice. 
"Obviously I am their favorite. " P'Kong teased him. P'Em and P'Kong were running around with P'Kong teasing him and P'Em trying to catch him.

"These two will never change... I wonder why they don't get tired of this tom and jerry act." P'Oak said shaking his head. All of us laughed seeing them. But I could not stop myself from asking them something.
"P.. if you don't mind can I ask something about what P'Em just said.?" I asked. They glanced at each other and then nodded.
"P.. Why was P'Em saying that your parents care more about P'Kong than you all." I asked with pure curiosity and even my friends nodded wanting to know. They just laughed before P'Wad spoke.

" Kong is very likable. Although he and Em have been close friends since childhood, he treats us no less than Em. He always shows us how much we mean to him. He won't let anyone even touch his family or us. In these two years we studied together we visited each other's house on more than one occasion. Our parents felt really attached to him also we all don't have any siblings. So they treat Kong as their younger son and due to his playful nature along with cuteness he became the most favorite for everyone. And even we can't say no to that cause he became a friend and a younger brother to us. He even acts as an elder brother while supporting us. So yes not only to our parents but also to us he is most favorite. Above that whose parents would say no if their child is getting more unconditional love like theirs. So even the elders bonded like us and since the last year-end all our 5 families spend the break together sometimes even Prae and Maprang join us. All of us promised to look after him at any cost. Even if anyone wants to be in a relationship with him that person needs to get acceptance from us and the big family. The same goes to every one of us actually." P'Wad said while seeing P'Em and P'Kong.

I, Knot, and Prem looked at each other and gulped a little from the information we got. Suddenly we heard a scream and saw that P'Em caught P'Kong and was dragging him towards us. P'Kong was trying to free himself but was failing. 
"Ha.. finally got hold of him... I won't let you go Kong.. you have been teasing me a lot." P'Em said.

"Ai'Em... if you don't want trouble from my uncles and aunts you better leave me.. or else I will complain to them and you will be punished today. " P'Kong said while pouting. We all laughed and P'Em seems to realize it and let him go.
"Em.. you know we can't stand against him with all our parents supporting him. And admit it Em, you can't survive without him teasing you." P'Oak said between laughing.

"Okay, guys enough... I don't think you want to make a joke of yourself in front of you juniors." P'Kong said making them stop teasing each other.
"But I think you are cute P." Shit... I said it out... I looked at them. They all were staring at me.
 
"Really P. We all admire your friendship and you all teasing each other and playing around is really cute ." Knot said. Thank you Knot.. you are really my friend. This time I thought in my mind. They asked us when we were going.

We told them that we will go together in the evening.. we informed them that we have been together since childhood and also neighbors. After a little more chitchat we went to our dorms to pack our things to go to our homes. I and my friends boarded the car my father sent and all of us slept off due to lack of sleep cause of exams.
