SASHA'S POV
I wiped my eyes as the conversation with Miss Anirac had stuck with me.
I hadn't been able to cry and let my emotions out since this problem with Connie started, but the words she spoke...the prayer... it broke the dam within my eyes.
I continued walking for a while until I saw someone, a familiar someone.
"Sasha!"
"N-Nacialla!"
I wiped my eyes again, watching her remove her eyes from her book and finally pay attention to where she was walking.
We rushed towards each other and embraced tightly.
"Long time, no see. What have you been up to?" She slipped the book into her bag.
"Just...dealing with life..."
"How's...Connie?"
"He's...agh..."
I slumped my shoulders and drooped my head while Nacialla laughed and slapped my back.
"Hahahah! Say no more, say no more. Come, I'll buy ya something to nibble on!"
Nacialla grabbed me around my shoulders and walked me along to a small café.
Upon stepping inside the beautiful café, my mood lifted at the smell of delicious muffins, rusks, and tea and coffee.
"Come, let's get a window seat."
She spoke to me gently, whispering beside my ear as if we were about to get up to mischief.
"Ah~ So, what's been going on in 'Sasha's world'?"
She asked as we sat down.
I had met Nacialla in a rather... awkward way a few years back.
She had the last bag of meat that was in stock at a local meat store... and I wanted it...
Let's just say, it ended with us going to the emergency room because I had my whole mouth clasped around the bag of meat AND her hand.
The doctors struggled for an hour trying to unlock my jaw...
"I...SIGH... things have been tough between Connie and I. I went to see a therapist this morning about my 'issue' with Connie and... what we spoke about... made me think-"
"Goodmorning, ladies! What can I get you?"
"Eh- hold that thought, Sasha. Uhm, we will have two coffee's and four blueberry muffins, please. Ooh! Also, one brownie!"
The voices of the two woman chatting became silent to me as my vision lost focus on them and focused on the very back of the café.
As I focused on the back of the café, the existence of everything around became less and less.
There, at the back of the café was some staff members...cleaning the windows.
And as I stared... I could just remember back then... when things were so wrong in the world... but so sweet for me and Connie.
FLASHBACK
"You two will SKIP training today and focus on cleaning up this MESS!"
The captain yelled, furious at the prank we had played on Eren and Jean.
It WAS for a good cause of getting them two to stop fighting... but it resulted in Eren taking his shovel full of horse dung and flinging it at Connie and I.
