Sandhya brought in the served dinner and placed it on the dining table. All the four sat around the table and they took in a sip of warm water, then began eating the dinner. They were given oven-baked saucy bread pizzas and BBQ veggie wrap. It was finger licking delicious. They had the dinner, singing and talking.
They washed the dishes and began planning for tomorrow. Bella said, "So tomorrow morning 11am we will leave for the junction, anyway before noon we will reach there."
Shravya didn't want to set the plans for the coming day because she had lost her belief in time, because it had taken away her past from her. She eagerly rolled over, "Bella!" That call was sweet enough to recognise that Bella had something coming in her way. But this time it was simple, Shravya requested, "Bella! Your grandmother had told you a lot of stories about every villages and streets, including the forbidden Medusa street. Please tell us the stories you did hear about the forbidden Medusa street. Why is it so abandoned, whilst there are few houses of big scholars?"
Bella was about to began, when Sandhya said, "Girls! Come on, see!"
The girls ran out to find the streets beginning to get covered by snow. Sandhya said, "This month is very special and this snow signifies the start of the magic."
Shravya asked, "What magic?"
The girls were already playing in the snow, throwing snowballs at one another and making snowmen like kids. Who told only small children could do childish things? Incidents like this that add colours to a person, moments that favour that individual, times that spread smile in that person, days that treats the person happy, all of it, that person remembers at the moment the individual blinks, can pamper the child hiding inside.
Sandhya answered, "The magic of the season of this month."
Navya added, "This month is the beginning of the Natya Rajya calender. Our calendar is used all over the other villages, not only that many incidents of Natya Rajya occured in this month."
Sandhya explained, "The naval war that led to the death of mad prince's father, the war that laid our king down, the separation of the royal family, lost majesty Shakti and the duo Shakti, the prince left the palace, the mad prince tried to take the throne, he put the king's sister in prison, the Book of Elixir was read by majesty Shakti and the prince and birthdays of the queen, prince and the mad prince. All of this happened in this month, but different years. Even though it's a terrible month due to many reasons, we enjoy this month due to the birthdays that counts the hope of return. The return of the villagers' prince who had promised to his mother."
Shravya smiled as Bella exclaimed, "Magic! All main incidence in the beginning month of a new year."
Shravya asked, "But what is the magic in here, after the night it snows?"
Navya and Bella answered at the same time, "The seasons."
Sandhya lectured, "All seasons come in a day. Early morning it would be winter... Snowy mornings from tomorrow, then summer till afternoon, then spring till evening, autumn till night and finally monsoon at late night."
Shravya was delighted, "Woah! That's insanely cool! Seasonal magic!"
Navya asked, "Myths of forbidden Medusa street?"
Shravya nodded.
Bella answered, "All of us know that the poisonous medusa grass borders all spots in the street, and as it's highly poisonous no one goes there. This turned out to be a privilege for the scholars because they could work and research in their own space, so they built in their houses there. According to an estimated calculation, there are only seven houses in that street, that too of scholars, writers, researchers and scientists."
Sandhya marked, "It's late night, dears. Go to bed! Then tell myths on the way tomorrow."
All laughed as they had their fun time in the snow, later they went to bed.❄️❄️❄️
Early morning, just as they knew, the village was covered in snow. The seasonal magic was true. The girls were sleeping in a room and Sandhya was in her room. Sandhya woke up and made the breakfast early because then she had to open the library. She opened the door to the room where the three slept, hearing the door open, Shravya was slightly disturbed from sleep. Sandhya came closer to their bed and greeted as she patted on the three to wake up, "Good morning daughters!"
Shravya woke up slowly and rubbed her eyes as she was fully dragged away from her sleep as the rooster crowed. She didn't want the other two to continue sleeping. Within such a short time, Shravya made up a bond with whomever she spent time and hence now Bella and Navya were more than friends to her, they were sisters to her. A person cannot out-stay from his or her responsibility of troubling their siblings. So Shravya pulled the blanket away from the other two, but they turned and slept. She greeted, "Good morning girls! Wake up!"
Bella slowly woke up. Then they both shook Navya, she too had no other choice than to wake up. The three girls were soon done with their morning chores and then sat for their breakfast. Sandhya sat with them to have the scrambled egg and cheese bun with coffee. Then Sandhya went to the library as the girls went out to purchase some dress. Few hours later, they were all set to go for the junction. Bella took her bag as she had to go with Shravya to the junction then she was going back to her house in the Natya street. Navya gave Shravya a bag with the purchased clothes and few sources of living, water and few snacks because the snacks in her old pack was already over. Shravya and Navya stepped out to leave, Navya came out and Sandhya too walked out of the library. They waved at each other, shook hands and then finally wrapped up in hugs with hope to meet again. Shravya and Bella walked off their sight to find their destination. They began walking, witnessing the seasonal magic through the streets waiting to come in the junction point.***
