Epilogue:

“Lexi you look beautiful! Stop stressing” Eleanor exclaimed and I took a deep shaky breath.

“Ok, it’s fine. I’m all-good! I mean, it’s my wedding day!” I breathed nervously and Eleanor grinned giving me a hug. I nodded and smoothed the silky fabric of my dress. Looking up all my bridesmaids smiled back comfortingly.

“You look stunning, Harry is going to be drooling all over his expensive suit” Ruby smirked smugly and I let out a laugh.

“That won’t look too good in the photos,” I stated and we all laughed, lightening the atmosphere.

“You ready to look now?” Rose questioned her eyes were literally glowing with happiness and I nodded a large smile spreading across my face. I’d had my makeup and hair finished but it was the first time seeing it all together with the dress, and to be completely honest I was freaking out. Taking a deep breath I turned around and gasped at the reflection shown in the full-length mirror.

“Oh my god” I whispered my eyes wide as I studied the person staring back at me. The girl in the mirror hardly resembled me; my skin was smooth and tanned which contrasted amazingly with my dress, my makeup was playful yet elegant; my makeup had been kept naturally flawless but glammed up a bit with some shimmering silver and charcoal eye shadow and cherry pink lip colour. As a memoir, my hair had been styled in the same style as it was for the charity ball Harry and I attend together all those years ago.

My milky brown hair was curled into loose ringlets, the top part of my hair was swept back gently with little plaits weaved through it, the top curls were scrunched up and pinned at the back of my head using bobby pins and a beautiful diamante clip with some strands teased out around my face to frame it giving it that fun romantic look. While the rest of my hair tumbled down my back in beautiful curls.

Finally my dress, the centerpiece, was an off-white, satin gown with lace and diamante detailing. The dress hugged my curvy yet slim body then flared out slightly at my hips.  The train of the dress wasn’t too long because knowing myself I would probably trip over it and the long veil was pinned in my hair already so all I had to do was walk down the aisle. The dress wasn’t too ‘out there’ as I had wanted it beautiful, elegant and youthful but not frilly as that just wasn’t me.

“You’ve got everything right?” Gemma questioned fiddling with her dress and I nodded smiling.

“Something old” I stated pointing to the delicate silver bracelet that was once my great grandmother’s.

“Something new” I lifted my dress to expose the garter, which rested just above my knee.

“Something borrowed” I smiled pointing to the diamond earrings Gemma had lent me for the wedding.

“And finally- something blue!” I grinned lifting up the edge of my dress to reveal my towering blue sparkly heels. The girls laughed and I just grinned, I’d always wanted to follow the tradition of ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue’ and I knew the guys would find what I picked for my blue item just as amusing as I do. Although I was bringing some plain silver flats for later, since I couldn’t last the whole night in these heels!
