Chapter 18

  Chapter 18:

It’s been a week since the kiss with Harry, we’ve both been distant and there has been a bit of tension in the house. The boys were supposed to be returning to London at the end of next week for Christmas with their families. Louis was trying to make the most of the situation but even he was starting to give up hope. I had barely said a word to Harry after that day and he barely said anything to me.

Glancing in the mirror I finished with my hair, I switched off the straightener and grinned running some ant-frizz product through my milk chocolate coloured hair. Being straightened added an extra few centimetres of length, my eyes were framed with a thin layer of eyeliner and touch of mascara and some cherry lip-gloss. I stood up from my little chair at my dresser and gave one last glance in the mirror before slipping my black heels on. The top of my dress that covered my chest was black and clung to my bust and then loosely fell away in soft aqua blue material that stopped mid-thigh, my wrist had a delicate silver bracelet secured around it and a matched silver heart locket.

“Wow you sure scrub up nice!” Ruby grinned cheekily from my doorframe.

“You don’t look to bad yourself!” I joked with a smile. Ruby was wearing a light grey dress that clung to her chest with lace detailing then dropped away into waves of material. Her red heels matched her lips that had been stained a dark red; all in all she looked stunning as usual.

“The guys are waiting” She smirked and I nodded sighing before I picked up my phone, purse and keys putting it in my small black clutch. The guys had told us to dress up in something nice because we were going out and that was the extent of our knowledge of tonight. We made our way downstairs to where the guys were waiting at the entrance near the door. They all turned around at the sound of our footsteps and their eyes widened considerably.

“Wow” Niall said raising his eyebrows.

“Oh jesus” Zayn mumbled his eyes roaming up and down Ruby’s body. I tried to ignore Harry’s gaze but my eyes reluctantly looked up and met the gorgeous emerald ones. Longing was clear in his eyes and I adverted my gaze to where Louis was grinning like and idiot.

“My gorgeous carrot princess is stunning” He beamed and I rolled my eyes.

“So where is this mysterious place we’re going tonight?” I asked curiously and the guys all exchanged a secretive glance.

“We’re not telling” Niall sung childishly.

The guys led us out to the van where Joseph was already waiting in the drivers seat, we scuttled inside quickly and shut the doors and Joseph sped off. The drive didn’t take long and we ended up out the front of a fancy looked restaurant, it looked pretty expensive. Joseph parked right up near the doors and we slid open the van’s door and we were ushered inside quickly by Joseph. Once inside they locked the doors and we were led to a function room. The windows were tinted so no one could see in but we could see out, I wondered why we were here but they sat us down and I was ‘coincidently’ sat across from Harry. A waiter walked through a black curtain that hung over the doorway with a notepad and pen in his hand; I glanced down at the menu thinking what I should order.

“It’s our shout by the way” Louis reminded us from my side and I nodded smiling giving him a kiss on the cheek.

“Thanks Lou-lou” I whispered and he nodded grinned from ear to ear.

“Anytime Lexi-bear” he replied happily. Harry looked up from his menu and our eyes connected and we awkwardly looked away, Louis noticed this and sighed returning to the menu. Once we’d all told the waiter our order everyone chatted amongst there selves and I pulled out my phone texting Chase who was due to return home in a few days.  The orders came out in record time, but I guess that’s to be expected when we’re the only people in the whole flipping restaurant!
