Chapter 3:

I looked in the mirror and my eyes widened, the makeup artist had been instructed to give me a natural look. It didn’t look like I had makeup on but I looked flawless!

“Wow!” I gushed and Suzie the makeup artist grinned.

“You are beautiful naturally, we just highlighted your features” She explained as I stared into the mirror on the side of the van.

It was the first day of filming and I was at first nervous because I’ve never done this before but as the guys reminded me; they hadn’t either. But it wasn’t long until their excitement rubbed off on me too and now I was bouncing up and down on my seat. Janet, the hair-stylist had left my hair out and just added a few different products to help make my hair wavier and smoother .I’d also had the stylist dress me in jean short-shorts and a cute singlet and flats, I also wore a bikini underneath. I was now ready to go on set!

“You excited?” Rose’s voice said from behind me.

I just nodded and she laughed, Rose had shoulder length blonde hair and pale green eyes, she was one of my fellow ‘girls’ in the video. Sarah, who was the other girl, has medium length light brown hair that was in cute ringlets and she had pretty blue eyes. Compared to me they were stunning!

“Well John has called us onto set” Sarah informed us and I gave her a nervous smile and they gave me a comforting hug and led me out of the van towards the beach.

The guys had already filmed some of their shots, including driving in the camper van and some close up shots of them on the beach. I spotted the guys and some crew sitting in the beach chairs set up in a group near the vans. The girls and I headed over and when they looked up I smiled and their eyes widened.

“You look great Lexi!” Harry exclaimed as he eyed me up and down and when the other agreed I blushed.

“So do you guys” I said. It was true, they were all dressed quite casual and I could tell they’d had their hair done professionally and even makeup.

“Alexia?” John’s voice called out to me and I spun around.

“Yep” I said brightly and he smiled clapping a large hand onto my bare shoulder.

“We’re going to need to take some close ups” He grinned and the smile faltered on my face.

“Um… Ok” I mumbled, John gestured for me to follow him down to a spot on the beach where the cameras were set up. I played with my hands and took a deep breath. I jumped as I felt two arms go around my shoulders and I looked up to see Louis, Harry and Niall.

“Thanks guys” I said gratefully and they just grinned as we reached the spot we’d be filming at.

“Ok, I was thinking of getting some natural shots. For example, in the song when they say ‘the way you flip you’re hair’ I was hoping we’d get a shot of you spinning or something” He explained to everyone and he turned to me.

“You understand what I’m looking for?” He asked me and I chewed on my lip and nodded.

“Yeah I think. So you want me to act natural?” I checked and he nodded and pointed to where he wanted me to stand.

“Good luck!” Niall smiled along with Harry and Louis as I stood where I was told to.

After a few goes I groaned, I wasn’t being natural enough so I looked over at Louis who was being stupid and I laughed and spun around, my hair spread out like a fan as I spun and I grinned.
