EDDIE'S P.O.V. [ thoughts are italics] [ flashbacks are bold italics]

I follow the paramedics downstairs and into the ambulance. The whole ride to the hospital I hold his hand and pray for the best. We arrive at the hospital and Buck is rushed to the mental ward with me shortly behind him. They get him in a room and put him on life support because his pulse is still weak, the nurses also treat to the lacerations he had made to his legs and arms. While they treat to Bucks wounds I step out and call Carla. (E=EDDIE/C=CARLA)

C: "Eddie is everything ok?"

E: "No Buck is in the hospital; I need you to hold onto Chris for the night I want to be by Bucks side when he wakes up."

C: "Of course, Eddie, I hope everything goes well. Bye Eddie"

E: "bye Carla" I quickly hang up and head into Bucks room. "Please Buck, come back to me." Is all I say before letting the tears run freely down my face.

BUCK'S P.O.V. [ thoughts are italics] [ flashbacks are bold italics]

I continue to float around in the darkness until I hear muffled words coming from outside world. I don't bother paying attention to the words I just wait for the light in the darkness to engulf me. It stays this way for a while, like waiting for a train in a tunnel not knowing when it will appear, then I hear one single voice as clear as day.

"Please Buck, come back to me." Eddie? What's he doing here? I hear beeping, followed by Eddies worried voice

"Help please, we need a nurse." A Nurse? Why could he possibly need a nurse? Finally, I see a light the light gets bigger and bigger, but then I feel like I'm being shot back like and elastic band after being flung like a sling shot. Suddenly I'm lurching forward and gasping for air, I try to put a hand to my throat, but I am stopped by hand cuffs restraining my hands.

"Buck? Buck, oh my god, thank god you're ok." Eddie says while jumping up from beside the bed to hug me.

"Where am I? Why am I here?" I say franticly pulling on the cuffs.

"Buck its ok, you're in a hospital."

"If I'm in a hospital then why the fuck am I hand cuffed to the bed Eddie? Huh? Answer me that." I burst at him pulling on the cuffs again. "Why the fuck didn't this work?" I yell, pulling on the cuffs until I feel the warm comforting feeling of blood running down my hand. Nurses and doctors come rushing into the room, one of them holding a needle. "Go ahead knock me out. I'd rather be out cold than awake." I scream at them yanking harder on the cuffs forcing them to cut deeper into my wrists.

"Buck stop pulling on the cuffs, your gonna cut your..." Eddie says pulling all the attention to my wrists.

"Restrain him, now" I hear the nurse with the needle say, and soon enough people swarm me and hold me down. I don't bother fighting back, I just wait to be pulled back into oblivion.

EDDIE'S P.O.V. [ thoughts are italics] [ flashbacks are bold italics]

Bucks' machines start beeping like crazy. "Help please, we need a nurse." I yell while standing from my seat, suddenly Bucks body is lurching up off the bed, his arms pulling on the restraints. "Buck? Buck, oh my god, thank god you're ok." I say as I step towards him to hug him

"Where am I? Why am I here?" He says frantically looking around continually pulling in the restraints.

"Buck its ok, you're in a hospital." I say trying to calm him down.

"If I'm in a hospital then why the fuck am I hand cuffed to the bed Eddie? Huh? Answer me that. "He burst at me pulling on the cuffs again. "Why the fuck didn't this work?" he yells, pulling on the cuffs. Nurses and doctors come rushing into the room, one of them holding a needle. I release a breath I hadn't known I was holding.

"Go ahead knock me out. I'd rather be out cold than awake." Buck screams yanking harder on the cuffs. Hearing those words come from his mouth break my heart. 'Why didn't I notice his behaviors earlier I could have helped him'. I think to myself.

"Buck stop pulling on the cuffs, your gonna cut your..." I say pulling all the attention to his wrists that now have blood running down them.

"Restrain him, now" I hear the nurse with the needle say, and soon enough people swarm Buck and hold him down. As the nurses restrain Buck I notice he doesn't bother to fight back, shortly passing out due to the drug. I want to move but my body is paralyzed with shock. His words going round in my head like a carousel. 'Go ahead knock me out. I'd rather be out cold than awake.'
