As days continued their usual pattern, the day of the sleep over eventually came. For girls like Kiara, that day couldn't have come any later; she was very excited! However, for girls like Ina, the day dreaded could have waited a millennia. With a grimace, the sheepish girl found herself before Kiara's house: a modest and comfortable size. Bigger than Ina's house but nothing you'd call a mansion. As she walked among the path to her house, she spotted powdery bits of dirt surrounding it. The path looked colourful and vibrant and the bushes around the house were small and hardly had any leaves.
Ina went to knock until noticing the doorbell that had a blatantly obvious camera on it with a speaker just underneath.
"Coming!" the bell buzzed with Kiara's voice coming from it harshly. Poor Ina felt her ears get pierced by the volume of it.
The door swung open with a vigor only matched by its owner, Kiara. Behind stood Kiara with Gura, looking up, sitting on a step from the stairs.
Kiara smiled, welcoming Ina warmly, "C'mon in, Ina!" She wrapped her around Ina, pulling her into a small hug until she was fully inside the house. "Saved the best for last, eh?"
"The house looks... different."
"Mhm? You like it? We had an extension and planted some new stuff!" Kiara pulls Ina closer to whisper, "If we're being honest, I had to sleepover to show it off." She chuckled, patting Ina's shoulder and grabbing Gura to go upstairs. She gestured to Ina to follow suit.
They walked up, giving Ina some time to collect her thoughts, 'It's Calli's first sleepover with us... I should be more comfortable. What is that though? Around her, it's almost impossible to get a single coherent thought in mind.' Groaning, she braced herself as Kiara opened the door to her bedroom.
As the door opened, Ina was met a cold gust of wind. The cold sent shivers down her spine. Trying to ignore it, she rubbed her elbows then looked over to the two girls already in the room: Calli and Amelia who both looked shocked.
"Ina- hi!"
"Hey!" The two spoke in quick succession, definitely alert from their sudden entrance.
At this, Kiara chimed in with a teasing tone, "You guys talking about some steamy secrets?" She spoke with a smirk, earning her a laugh from Gura and Ina.
In response, Calli groaned and threw a plush pillow at Kiara's face.
Amelia chuckled lightly, spreading out her math textbook. "Let's get started, shall we?"
Gura grimaced at the sight of it.
...
"I'm borrreeeed."
"Hm," Ina hummed quizzically, "Thought you would've quit earlier."
Gura thumped her book against her head, flattening her flaps with it, "Oi!"
In 2 hours or so, the group studied on varying subject matters. And as time went on, Gura's focus drifted more and more onto her switch in her bag. Now, she couldn't take it. She needed to escape from her work.
Quickly, the little shark girl lunged for her bag, lazily spilling some of its contents with it. As she jostled the bag, her blue switch console fell with it, making her face light up at the sight. Raising the item proudly, Gura proclaimed, "Time to play!"
As quick as she grabbed her bag, Kiara snatched the switch from her hands, putting it at a height she could not reach.
"No fair!"
"We can play, Gura- but no switch games until later! It's time for sleepover games!" Kiara clapped excitedly, "Yeey~!"
Calli, Ina and Amelia mumbled amongst themselves with quiet agreement while Gura grumbled something along the lines of: "Why do we have to?"
