Mabel crouched in front of her brother. “You're just giving up?” She said in complete shock. She hadn't seen her brother this depressed or panicked since Gideon tried to take over the Mystery Shack. She took a deep breath and slowly let it out. “Look dude, I know you haven't been sleeping. I know that when you do you have nightmares. We share a room, how can I not?”

Dipper looked up at her. “Look Mabel, Bill won. He stole the book, he caught Stan doing whatever it was he was with that thing, and we're out of options,” he said.

Mabel frowned. “Or we could...” she started.

Dipper looked up at her. “Could what?”

Mabel smiled small as an idea formed in her mind. “We could go figure out how to work the thing that Stan was working on!”

Dipper's eyes widened. “You're crazy Mabel! We-we don't know how to work it, let alone what it does! We could get killed or worse! We could destroy all of Gravity Falls!” He was rotating all the outcomes in his mind that were negative. “Mabel, that's a terrible idea!”

Mabel frowned. “What else do we have?” She said. She looked at him blatantly. “We can't just sitting here and mope about. We've gotta do something!”

Dipper opened his mouth but then closed it as he realized there was no argument. “But Bill has the Journal how are we suppose to do anything? We don't know how to work it without the journal...” he said.

“You didn't need it to fight Gideon...”

“Yeah, but that was Gideon. This is Bill Cipher Mabel! He does things there's no way to explain! He knows everything! He could even be spying on us right now!”

“Trust me! The book said trust no one, but I promise you can trust me,” Mabel said. She stood up and held out her hand. “Come on Dipper! Please join me. You know I'll do it by myself if I have to,” she said.

Dipper groaned but let out a small smiled. “Alright, let' go,” he said. He grabbed Mabel's hand and she pulled him up. They ran towards the Mystery Shack.
