Mabel looked over at Dipper and plopped down on his bed. “Ready for this?” She asked.
Dipper looked up from the Journal. “Confronting whatever Bill is planning? No not really...” He muttered. He let out a sigh and rested his head against the wall looking up at the ceiling.
Mabel noticed the math equations and markings on the ceiling where Dipper could reach stand on the bed. “You didn't sleep at all did you?” She said softly.
“How could I knowing that if we didn't do something our world is going to crash and burn to whatever Bill has planned. I needed to figure things out,” Dipper replied. He looked at Mabel, who looked nearly as sleep deprived as him. “And your excuse?”
“Okay, I was worried about Bill to. I'm not just all fun and games you know,” she said. She pulled her legs up close to her and wrapped her arms around them. She rested her chin on her knees. “Dipper, what happens if we fail?”
Dipper looked at her and his gaze softened. “Mabel....we'll stop Bill, don't worry,” he said.
Mabel looked up at him, tears streaming down her face. “But what if we don't! Dipper, Bill knows everything! He can enter our minds! He's unstoppable! What if we loose! You could be killed! I wouldn't put it past Bill to kill you!”
Dipper was taken back. He didn't see Mabel upset like this often and when she was it never ended well. He reached out to comfort her, but he decided not to just in case she shattered like glass. He took a deep breath. “I'll try not to get killed,” he said simply.
“You say things like that all the time and you always end up hurt or you rise the ded or something!”
Dipper flinched but she was right. He took a deep breath.
“And now that you said that, you probably will get killed!” Mabel added.
Dipper paled slightly. “Mabel, I'm sorry...” He said.
Suddenly Mabel encased him in a hug. “Please don't get hurt bro-bro. I don't know what I'd do without you!”
Dipper held her in a hug. “Hey, don't worry...please don't cry. And you're crying...' he said with a sigh. He gently rubbed her back and looked at Mabel's side of the room. What if it was her that got hurt? What if it was her who got the bad end of Bill's plan. What if it was Mabel that got killed? He wouldn't put it past Bill to kill her. Anything to get into his mind. What would Dipper do without Mabel? He took a deep breath and refused to think about it. “We'll be fine Mabel because I'm certain we'll have our friends with us.”
