They soon arrived at the Mystery Shack and pushed aside the vending machine. They rushed down the stairs and found what they had seen Stan standing in front of earlier that day.

Mabel turned to Dipper. “Search through the book shelves and his desk, I'll see if there's anything around the lever thing!”

Dipper looked back at her. “Just be careful,” he said as he pulled three books from the shelf.

After a while of looking and silence Mabel spoke up. “Dipper! The triangle thing feels warm! I don't think we have to do much! Maybe all we have to do is pull the lever!”

Dipper rushed in. “Alright, but get behind me just in case anything goes bad!” He said sternly.

Mabel nodded and ran back over to him and ducked behind him as Dipper pulled the lever.

The circle in the center began to glow and there was a sound. Suddenly a strong breeze began. Dipper looked back at Mabel. “Mabel! Get back to where the shelves are!” He exclaimed over the wind.

Mabel nodded her head and ran. When she almost reached the door she looked back and saw that Dipper still had held of the lever. “DIPPER HURRY!” She cried out.

Dipper looked up at her. “If I let go I'll get sucked into the thing!” He shouted.

Mabel felt tears stream down her face. “Dipper! Come on! Hurry!”

“Go without me! I'll meet you when this is done!” Dipper said. Suddenly the lever he was holding broke in half and he started flying towards the Portal.

Mabel cried out and ran towards Dipper. She grabbed his wrist and threw him away from the portal. However in doing so she went through the portal. There were lightening strikes and a fizzing sound and then the portal went dark.

Dipper's eyes went wide. “MABEL!” He shook as he remembered a quote that Bill had tol him once.

“What has she ever done for you?”

Dipper knew the answer. Everything.
