Those little glances helped everyone figure it out. Those lingering looks, the smiles and always finding your way to each other in a crowded room. Everyone knew that you and Colin were in love. The only two people who couldn't figure it out was you two.

Colin spotted you across the crowded ball room, he walked over almost with a sense of purpose and determination. "Would you do me the honour of dancing with me" Colin said. You replied by taking his hand, he guided you to the dance floor, avoiding bumping into all the other couples.

After two dances you made the suggestion that he dance with another lady as there was many women stood at the side-lines without any partner. He shook his head. " I don't want to dance with anyone else, only you". You smiled at him, this really did mean a lot.

He ended up dancing with you all night, even after the other couples had departed the dance floor, he held you close and stared longingly into your eyes. The Bridgerton family were watching you two dance from the side-lines, they all had smiles on their face.

The next thing you knew, Colin's lips were on yours. He pulled away "I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself" he whispered. You only responded by kissing him back, with a sense of urgency. The Bridgerton family were stood there clapping, they knew this would happen eventually it just took longer than they originally thought.

"I have been meaning to do that for a while" he murmured. "As have I"

He grabbed your hand and lead you back to the Bridgerton family. You knew they had seen it. "It's about time you did that brother" Anthony said as he slapped Colin on the back as a way of saying congratulations. "It really was" Colin retorted as he lent down to kiss you again.

Nothing meant more in this world to you other than Colin and his family. They had looked after you and they couldn't have been more loving and caring. You felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
