Hongjoong enters the cafe they all went to the night before. He goes up to the counter and the cashier smiles at him.
"Hello, how can I help you?" the cashier asks.
"Uhm, is Sorn here?" Hongjoong asks.
"No she's not coming in today"
"When will she be back?" he continues asking.
"Well she left her charger in the break room. So I guess she'll be back for it"
"Oh okay. I'll just wait then" Hongjoong says and he goes to a table.
A few moments later Sorn and Taegi enter the cafe talking loudly. Hongjoong looks up as he recognises the girl's voice he's been looking for.
Sorn goes to the back as Taegi sits down at the counter. Hongjoong waits patiently for Sorn to return so he can approach her.
As Sorn returns to the front she immediately starts looking around.
"What are you looking for girl?" Taegi asks with a confused expression.
"Jasmine said there's someone that's looking for me out here" Sorn replies.
"Oooh do you think it's that Yeosang guy?" Taegi asks as she wiggles her eyebrows.
Sorn rolls her eyes and as she looks to the left her eyes meet with a pair of dark ones. Is he one of the guys from last night? Sorn thinks as she pulls on Taegi's sleeve.
"There" Sorn says and Taegi looks in the direction she's staring.
"Is that San?" Taegi asks as she feels like the guy is staring right into her best friend's soul.
"He looks dangerous"
Hongjoong sees the two girls staring at him and him being the awkward person he is he decides to wave at them.
Sorn furrows her brows wondering what was going on.
Hongjoong sees her expression and suddenly he feels intimidated.
"Let's go over there" Sorn says as she walks over to him.
Hongjoong feels his hands getting clammy all of a sudden. Damn this girl's stare is making me nervous.
"Hi?" Sorn says still with furrowed brows.
Hongjoong suddenly forgets what he was here for. "Uhm hey. Did you lose this?" He reaches into his pocket and takes out a red bracelet.
Sorn's face relaxes.
"I was looking for that"
Hongjoong relaxes as he sees a calm expression in front of him. Wow the duality of this girl is astounding.
"I picked it up last night at our table. I thought it was mine. See?" he says as he shows Sorn his wrist where an exact same bracelet hangs loosely around it.
Sorn smiles "Seems like we both have great taste"
Hongjoong laughs "It seems so, great minds think alike" he says as he places the bracelet in her hand.
She notices his purple painted nails.
"Thank you. Your nails are so beautiful"
"Thank you. I've always liked nail art" Hongjoong replies.
"Uhm hello" Taegi says as she starts to feel a bit misplaced.
"Oh this is my best friend Taegi" Sorn introduces.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Hongjoong" he says and shakes Taegi's hand.
Taegi looks at Sorn with big eyes as she thought this was Yeosang or San. So Sorn has 3 hot guys running after her?
"Well I gotta go anyway" Hongjoong says as he gets up from his seat.
"It was nice seeing you again Sorn. Nice meeting you Taegi."
"You too Hongjoong thanks again" Sorn says and Hongjoong turns to the door. As he reaches the door he looks back and smiles before heading out.
Sorn suddenly feels her ears getting hot. She looks at her bracelet and puts it on.
"So there's a Hongjoong too now?" Sorn hears from Taegi as they sit down at the table.
"What do you mean?" Sorn says as she sees Hongjoong walk off through the window.
"It was nice seeing you again Sorn" Taegi repeats Honjoong's words. "What's so nice about giving a random girl her bracelet back?"
Sorn looks at Taegi and already knows what she's implying.
"It seems to me he likes you" Taegi says before Sorn can stop her. She rolls her eyes at Taegi's comment.
"Aren't you supposed to get to class?" Sorn asks in attempt to escape this conversation. "That doctor's degree isn't gonna get itself"
"Sometimes I wonder if my mom didn't just send you to watch over me" Taegi says as she gets up. "See you next week Sorra"
Taegi is leaving for a week and Sorn forgot.
"I'm going to be alone?"
"No. You can call over Hongjoong" Taegi says as she walks away. "Or Yeosang"
She laughes and walks to the door existing the cafe.
Sorn shakes her head and orders a coffee. After enjoying her coffee she decides to head to the park for some peace and quiet.
As she's sitting on the swing her thoughts wander to how Hongjoong smiled at her. She feels how her tummy makes a knot. No Sorn, she thinks to herself. He's just a kind dude no need to feel all giddy.
But then she thinks Yeosang still remembers you from highschool as a little smile creep onto her face.
"I wonder if he knew I had a crush on him back then" she thinks as she slowly moves herself back and forth on the swing.
"Smiling to yourself?" a voice on the swing next to her asks.
