CHAPTER 4: Was it a date?

Sorn looks next to her and sees a figure sat down on the swing legs stretched out in front of him. She immediately recognised him.

"Hey Sorn. It's me San, remember?" he says with a little smile on his face "You looked lonely."

"I wasn't lonely" Sorn replies sounding a little irritated cause her thoughts were interrupted.

"Oh I'm sorry I'll just go" San says as he hears the irritation in her voice and proceeds to get up.

Sorn realises what's happening and didn't mean to come off as rude.
"No! Sit down. I didn't mean to sound irritated or anything I sometimes forget how to communicate with people." She says with a little laugh. "Hi San"

San's smile returns to his face as he sits back down and lightly pushes himself to move back and forth.

"That's fine" he says "Some people get intimidated by me when I don't smile"

"You don't look that intimidating to me." Sorn says smiling at him.

"That's just because the first time you saw me I was whining about pizza" San says as he starts laughing.

Sorn joins in and sees how beautiful San is when laughing.

"So I hear you will be debuting soon. Are you excited?" Sorn asks as she wants to keep talking to San.

"Yes I am" he says "I'm one of the vocalist"

"Cool. Sing something for me." Sorn says in hopes of getting him to do it.

"Well if you wanna hear so bad you should listen to our debut song when it's out" San says not being tricked by the girl.

"Well okay. Consider it done. I'll tell you what I think of it then"

"Well Sorn I have to go to dance practice now" he says as he gets up. Sorn gets up as well.

"I'm going home too." Sorn says.

"Which direction are you going?" San asks.

"That way" Sorn points in the direction San is going.

They both walk and continue talking about how a trainees life actually is. Sorn finds out that it is actually very difficult and not as easy as she thought.

In front of them two people come out of the cafe and San says it's Yunho and Jongho.
San calls them so they all can walk together. Introductions get done and Yunho asks "So were you two on a date?"

Jongho laughs "You should stop spending so much time with Wooyoung cause you're becoming as curious as him" he says and continues drinking his coffee.

"Well if we're speaking on a technical basis" they hear Sorn starting. "A date is when two people meet up alone and get to know each other. It wasn't planned but we did get to know each other"

"So it was a date?" Yunho asks to confirm.

"Technically yes" Sorn says not aware of what she's starting.

San laughs as he sees Jongho looking and wiggling his eyebrows at him. What is it with the members and shipping everyone San thinks as the reach the front of their building.

Yeosang stands in the practice room's window looking down in the street as he waits for the other members to join him. He sees Yunho, Jongho, San and a girl standing in front of the building. As the boys turn and make their way to the door, the girl turns to continue walking. As see turns Yeosang sees that it is Sorn.

Why is Sorn hanging out with them he wonders. I hope none of them are taking interest in her, Yeosang thinks and he decides to warm up.

The three enter the building and goes up to the living area. As they enter Yunho says "Guys I have some spicy news to share"

San rolls his eyes as he already knows what the news is.

"Can this wait?" Hongjoong asks "We need to go upstairs for dance practice"

"Spill the tea bro" Wooyoung says as he prepares for the news.

"I just found San on a date." Yunho says without hesitation "And it was with the girl we met last night in the cafe"

"You mean Sorn?" Seongwha suddenly appears from the kitchen.

"Yes her. I witnessed it with my own eyes" Jongho adds to the story.

"Guys just shush and let's go to the practice room" San says trying to stop this from escalating.

"Is this actually true San?" Hongjoong asks, hoping Yunho was just making it up.

"Bro let's not focus on that now you said we need to go practice" San anwers as he walks away.

Yunho looks at Hongjoong trying to figure out why he suddenly looks so down. Could it be that Hongjoong hoped the date was a lie.

After dance practice they all sit on the floor exhausted. Yeosang heads to his phone he put on the table and decides to send Sorn a message. He heard Jongho and Wooyoung talking about San on a date with Sorn as they entered the practice room.

Well if San's gonna be competition then I should secure my spot in the lead, he thinks as he types a message

Hi Sorn

Hey Yeosang. How are you?

I'm good. Just finished dance practice.

Oh I heard you guys were having dance practice from San.

Oh so it's true then?

What's true?

That you and San went on a date.

Sorn is shocked by Yeosang's statement. Did San take it seriously when she said they were on a date or was it one of the other two?
But why does it matter so much to Yeosang anyways does he really like me?
All the questions run through Sorn's head.

Why do you care so much anyway?

Look Sorn. I'm going to be straight with you okay. I wanted your number cause you're beautiful and I want to get to know you better.

You are truely quick to advance

Yes and I just wanted to know if you went out with San so that I can back off you know

As Yeosang sends the message and knows that he wouldn't back off even if she and San really went on a date.

Well me and San weren't on a date. We just met in the park and I told Yunho we went on a date.

Oh I see. Well me and you should hang out sometime.
