"My brother will pick me up!", said Jasmine proudly.
A 7-year old little girl with pigtails and the biggest smile you'll ever see. She was a bit tiny compared to other kids.
She stood there with a grin waiting for big brother to come pick her up.
All the kids were passing by and a few were waiting for their parents to arrive.
But Jasmine wanted her big brother, who was only two years older than her.
While she was waiting, a boy from her school passed by her and bumped intentionally into her. He was a year older.
"Hey!", yelled Jasmine.
"Oh sorry didn't see you there!", he said sarcastically.
Then he started to pull her hair. He was one of the mean kids.
"Ouch!!! Leave me alone!", Jasmine screamed.
But he started poking her shoulder.
"Stop! I said leave me alone!", she said angrily.
"What will you do if I don't stop?"
"Leave my sister alone meatball!", yelled a voice.
The kid turned around to see that Jasmine's big brother standing glaring at him.
"Oh I.. I was..", the boy started backing off.
Big brother walked up to him and grabbed him.
"If you ever get near her, I'll beat you up!", he whispered.
The boy just nodded and ran away.
Big brother walked to little Jasmine and gave her a hug.
"Thank you Alexander", she said with tears running down her pink cheeks.
"Hey, if anyone tries to hurt you.. Remember I'll beat them up for you, I promise!"
Alexander, then, held her hand and they walked home together.
