ELYSIAN died by guillotine on the grounds of treason on October 26th 1620, after the slave trade became grand scale.

Miraculously, she finds herself alive six years before her death. After being given a second chance at the gamble of life, she sets on a path of vengeance. With great determination to destroy the kingdom she once loved; and the empire that enslaved her people, as well as seek vendetta on those who prosecuted her during her previous life...

She goes on a journey where there is no line between human morality and justice.

However, things get complicated when the man she vows to kill falls madly in love with her.

They called her,

Dear beloved reader,

Thank you for visiting my book.

I adore you! I have poured myself into this book; my mind, my history, my ethnicity and my personal identity are all carefully kneaded into each word of this story. I only hope this book opens your mind to the many complexities of race and ethics. I also hope this opens your heart the way it opened mine. I'm so excited to have you here with me and share this with you.

Also, this book is heavily inspired by the Victorian and Regency era with an emphasis on colonisation and the scramble for Africa. All Kingdoms and characters are my own except of course our beloved Alkebulan.

(Alkebulan was what Africa was formerly known as during the pre-colonial era for those that are unaware! xo .)

And a few trigger warnings!

This book has mentions of blood, death, murder, and a few other dark themes. Please take care when reading!

note: I don't take ownership of any images used, all credit goes to the respective owners.

The end of a genesis harnessed as an eclipse at her fingertips,

and the gods, satisfied, watched her demise,
