I'm paralyzed for the rest of my life.

I can't feel from the waist down.

And that is the least of my worries.

I remember waking up to find Lusamine asleep in a chair, asleep with her head on my lap. She hasn't done something like this for a very long time, but I am able to shake her awake. When I see her emerald eyes again, I feel rejuvenated.

"Mohn! You're awake!" I give her a weak smile, but then a thought hits me. "I had a dream of a girl and a teenage boy who reminds me of Gladion protecting me from a machine." Lusamine has this look on her face that I can only describe as worry.

"That wasn't a dream love."

"That's impossible, that would mean I have been gone for-" Lusamine nods, and the words leave me. I have been gone for multiple years? I knew that Giovanni kept me for a year, but not multiple. "How long?"

"Ten years Mohn." I feel the floor escape from underneath me. No. No. No! I feel myself grow more and more guilty. I missed all of Lillie's big moments. "Can, can I see them?"

"Yes. In fact, it was them, our children, who found out you were alive." I smile at this.

"Gladion was injured, not as badly as you were, but he is unconscious from a head injury. Lillie is fine though, if you want to see her." I nod enthusiastically, making my wife laugh. I missed that. I missed her laugh. High and clear, making me fall a little more in love with her every time, if that was even possible. Lusamine steps out for a moment, and comes back with the girl from my not so much of a dream. Blonde hair braided in a ponytail, and a white outfit with white running shoes and a pink backpack. Her emerald eyes match Lusamine's. Match the ones I remember from when she was a baby. Next to her is an Alolan Ninetales.

"Lillie?" She nods, smiling.

"Are you alright Father?" Father. I wide grin eats up my face, but then it dissipates as I remember how long I've been gone. "I'm fine. Come here." She looks at Lusamine, who nods, and then rushes over, the ice and fairy type pokemon right next to her. "I'm so sorry."

"For what Father?"

"For not seeing you grow up. For not being there like the father I am supposed to be. For-" The words catch in my throat as Lillie has thrown her arms around me in a hug that makes me feel warm. It reminds me of when me and Lusamine were younger. When I didn't believe that I could start my own business.

"You were being held captive. I knew that if you were alive, something had happened to you, preventing you from coming home. Do not apologize for something that isn't your fault!" I smile, weakly hugging her back before looking at the Ninetales. "Is this your partner Lillie?" Lillie turns back to the pokemon, smiling.

"Yep, meet Snowy. I've been caring for it since it was an egg. Snowy, meet Father." She nicknamed it, no doubt from when it was an egg.

"Ninetales. Nine." Snowy rubs my hand affectionately, already trusting me as its partner's loved one. It reminds me of Zoroark. No doubt Zoroark is out, in the wilderness of Alola. I don't think I'll ever see it again. "Hello Snowy." Lillie gives a wide smile.

"There is another familiar face you will want to see."

"Who?" Lillie takes out a premier ball, tossing it up. Out comes a pokemon that I never thought I would see awake. "Magearna!"

"Bleep!" I stare at the steel and fairy type pokemon I had researched for so long in shock. "How is it awake?!"

"Lillie woke it up. She found your research on Magearna and took care of it." I stare at Lusamine, then at Lillie, my daughter, my little princess, in amazement. "How did you do it?"

"It wasn't me, it was all Zoroark! It showed an illusion of the past, which woke up Magearna." "Zoroark? Could I see him?"

"Gladion took it as its temporary trainer until we could find you. He has its poke ball and we aren't allowed into his room yet. But that reminds me." She takes off and hands me my old leather and white z-ring from when I used to train in Alola. "How did you?"

"Hala allowed me to use it temporarily. Me and Snowy learned how to use Sub-Zero Slammer with it. Now that we have found you, it's yours." I chuckle, and hand it back to her. "You seem to use it much more than I ever could. It's yours, my little princess." I look over to see my love tearing up. "Lusamine, don't cry love." Lusamine nods, wiping her tears away, smiling weakly.

"I'm just so happy to see you here Mohn."

"I'm happy too." Then another thought hits me once I think of Gladion. "If it has been ten years, then Gladion is sixteen right?" Lillie nods.

"Why do you ask Father?"

"What has he been doing all this time? I want to know what my son is up to." Lillie giggles, while Lusamine explains.

"He's a trainer himself now. He grew up with your talent for it. Alola opened up a pokemon league and he competed in it as did Lillie. He was runner up in the finals." My eyes widen. "Since when does Alola have a pokemon league?"

"It only opened up this year Father. We competed and then when Magearna woke up, we went to find you."

"Does Gladion still have that Eevee of his?" Lillie nods.

"Yes. It evolved into an Umbreon and is Gladion's main partner. He also has a Midnight form Lycanroc and Silvally." My confusion rises. "What's a Silvally?" Lusamine gives a look to Lillie whose hands cover her mouth in surprise, but she quickly composes herself.

"We'll let big brother tell you about it."

"Yes, let me tell you about it Father."
