EIGHT JUST LIKE MAGIC
The dating history of Kleo Kovu consisted of only one person. Sad but true. In Kleo's defense, boys weren't her top priority like some other teenagers. Kleo had quickly realized the intentions of boys when she hit puberty. There was always an ulterior motive, especially with boys whose parents were known villains. That's why she developed an attraction to boys who weren't the brightest. Easy to manipulate, easy to maintain.
But Kleo supposed things should be different with the dating pool Auradon had. Although the fish were annoying and too nice to stomach, there was only one boy she had to convince to like her, and that was the boy she was scheduled to have lunch with this afternoon. Kleo, not wanting to make a fool of herself, had asked Evie to help her with everything related to clothing and 'proper' etiquette. Because Evie was a princess, she would know what's best to do in this scenario with a prince.
Kleo had given Evie all the details of her date, which wasn't much since Ben barely disclosed where'd they be that afternoon. He said he wanted it to be a surprise, much to Kleo's displeasure. The only thing he told her was to bring a bathing suit and a change of clothes. Here's the thing, Kleo didn't own any bathing suits and she didn't know how to swim. Any available body on water on the isle held a crocodile from Tick Tock's army of children, so it was better to stay on land. Kleo supposed if it came down to it, she could just dip her toes and not swim if Ben asked her. The only thing she really had to worry about was a bathing suit that Evie happily volunteered to make for the occasion, and even decided to go further and make a new dress as well.
Evie, who was more excited than Kleo, had conjured a swimsuit in less than twenty minutes. It was a simple two piece in black and gold, with a strapless dress of the same colors. And as simple as the pieces of articles were, they were truly beautiful. Kleo would not deny that. Evie genuinely had a gift for making clothes. She should open her own store and make a fortune. (Of course, Kleo has known for years, seeing Evie in immaculate garbs from discarded clothes she's found on the Isle for the past sixteen years.)
"I look weird," said Kleo aloud, looking at herself in the mirror. It was the least amount of clothes Kleo had ever worn, especially to be out in public, but she supposes there's no reason in being insecure in the body she was born with.
