"Anything yet Player?"

She knew very well she asked the exact same question only a few minutes ago and Carmen is quite sure that Shadowsan isn't the only one that is rolling his eyes, Jules were at least trying to hide it behind a book.

"Was she always this inpatient?"

The A.C.M.E agent asks, looking over the book her eyes lands on Shadowsan that is leaning towards the wall. Seeing how her old mentor nods his head, its Carmen's time to roll her eyes. She could however not argue with them about it, she knew that very well. It didn't stop her from trying anyway. They had headed directly for the hotel once Jules had shown them the flash drive, that is now 2 hours ago.

"At least I'm getting somewhere, it's more complicated than the old once."

This reply made the three people tense up. This was a comment neither of them ever wants to hear coming from Player, especially not when he's trying to hack V.I.L.E, something he used to do with one hand behind his back. This also fuel the worry that have been growing within Carmen since she learned that it was Dr Bellum Shadowsan was haunting after in the old castle. Usually when it's a mission like this, they would send students to deal with it, not doing it themselves.

But something told her that things are not what they used to be, they had after all spent two years in prison before they had managed to break out, no wounder they would have to do things in a different way. But there is still something that doesn't feel right about any of this. With a look at Shadowsan, Carmen is sure she's not the only one to think this. She could see the older man have sunken into deep thoughts.

"So, we are all guessing they have managed to find new people to help, people with higher skilled than before."

Julia points out, it was the most obvious now but at least she's trying to help.

"Or older agents are starting to return."

The hollowed tone Shadowsan's voice took sent a chill up Carmen's spine and she could see that Julia had the same experience. Carmen new there were older V.I.L.E agent's, her father had been one after all. The fact that scared her now is that there were agents with higher skills than what she had come across, which says a lot when thinking about the staff and all the things Dr Bellum were able to create on her very own.

"Okay, this conversation just turned very dark, I can't even see you guys, but I can guess your facial expression and that alone scares me."

"Yeah, it's not all to fun on this side either."

"We have been dropped in the dark completely here."

There was a hint of worry in Jules voice as she, Carmen could almost guess where her mind have wandered of too.

"This have turned into a very dangerous game; we should probably give Chief a heads up."

She could fell both Jules and Shadowsan's surprised look on her in that moment. She can blame them; this is out of character for her and she's a bit surprised she had said it herself. But Jules mind wasn't the only one that had start thinking about ivy and Zack. At the moment they are on deep water with only Paper Star and Dr Bellum sightings.

"I'll make the call."

Jules offers, rising form the chair she had been sitting in to leave the room. Feeling the stress and worry of this day so far hit her, Carmen takes over the chair Jules have just left. She wanted to ask Shadowsan more about what he had said, but the hollow eyes that had once more returned stopped her. Instead, she let silence fall over the room, the only thing that could be heard is the faint voice of Jules talking in the next room.

It didn't take to long before she returned once more, the look of defeat and energy loss on her face was all Carmen needed to see to understand that the conversation had not gone all to well. Reaching out her hand, Carmen grabs hold of Jules arm only to pull her towards her. The sudden move made Jules lose her balance and fall right on top of Carmen's lap, the thief took advantage of the moment to pull her tight into a hug.

"What did Chief say?"

"Not much, she said she will start looking into older files and go through everything you and Shadowsan gave her, to see if she can find someone they might have missed. Other than that, she has no lead on her own. She also suggests that we try to stay close to my team, just in case either of them tries to do something very stupid."

"You mean to tell me they already haven't?"

Player's comment made both Carmen and Jules laugh lightly, a small smile could be seen on Shadowsan's face. They needed that in this moment, this evening had taken a dark and gloomy turn and fast.

"Well, I don't think there is much more we can do tonight. So how about we go out to eat?"

"Some food right now would be a good idea."

Carmen smiles at this, happy that she had agreed on her suggestion.

"You two go, I should take one last look at the old building. Just to make sure we haven't missed anything else."

"Yeah, I should get back to try and hack this thing. Besides, you two are supposed to be on a vacation, so go and do what two people in love do when they are alone together in a new city."

"Player!"

Carmen could feel how she was growing warm at her oldest friend's comment, but the small giggle coming from the woman currently sitting on her lap made her smile.

"Well, you will have to get of me so we can go."

She comments and Jules takes a few seconds to think about it before moving. Shaking her head, Camren rise from the chair, only to make sure to grab hold of Jules hand once more.

"I've sent you the location to a good restaurant Carms, I have also made sure to make a reservation for you two just now."

"Oh, now he can work fast."

Laughing happily now, Jules shakes her head as she pulls her towards the front door.

"Be nice or he might lead us to a crappy place."

She warns, making Carmen roll her eyes. At least they seemed to have forgotten the trouble on their hands at the moment.
