Torn up

Chapter 26

"Come on Theo." I said walking past his table on my way out of breakfast.

"Aww, your little girlfriend is in need of you." Lucas mocked. He stared at me as I picked up my board. I rolled my eyes.

"Well at least boyfriends get this privilege." I said walking over and crouching down close to Theo's face. I grabbed the back of his head and pulled him in for a lingering kiss.

"Oh sheesh..." Blaise said laughing at Lucas. Tom glared at Theo.

"Whatever." He said annoyed then walked off.

I grabbed Theo's hand and led him outside.

"Whoa doll, what was that back there?!" He asked slowing me down

"Shutting him up." I responded and began to walk forward again. He spun me in closer to him.

"Not that." He smirked.

I just stared at him confused.

"Boyfriend." He moved closer and looked down looking in my eyes.

"Special privileges for you." I smiled and gave him a laugh. I pulled his hand into the line for the lift.

"Are you sure you're up for this?" I laughed at him struggling to get ready.

"Oh, 100%" He said.

"Well hurry up, it's almost our turn." I said pointing towards the top of the hill.

"Done." He said, sighing and sitting back.

We made our way onto the slope and kept close. Theo wasn't that bad, but there is always room for improvement.

"I'll meet you down." I said moving away from him.

I felt myself gliding side to side and jumping some ledges. The breeze flushed my cheeks. I just took a deep breath and admired the scenery around me. I wasn't going too fast, that usually doesn't work out for me.

I made my way to the middle as I began to reach the end of the hill and out of nowhere a skier ran into me. Take into account he was going fast. It sends me sprawling. I found myself lying on the ground. Belly up in the snow. Jesus my wrist hurt. I got up weakly and picked up my board, I walked the rest of the way down the hill. I saw Theo coming down the slopes. He began to slow down once he saw me wadling in the 6 inches of white.

"What are you doing?" He asked, confused.

"I need to see a doctor." I smiled awkwardly.

"What happened!?" He snapped.

"Just some accident, a skier ran into me." I responded.

"Which one?" He said, taking off his goggles and looking around.

"I didn't get a clear view, can you just get me to the nurse." I pleaded.

"Yeah, come on." He got off his board and walked down with me. He kept his arm around my lower back.

"How'd you get hit?" He said laughing a bit.

"Watch it." I pointed.

He just laughed. We made our way to the lodge's "infirmary room". They took me back quickly and did a scan of my wrist.

"It seems to be sprained." The doctor said as he looked over the x-ray.

"sprained!?" I screamed. Theo rubbed my shoulder to calm me down.

"You should be glad it's not broken, especially since the skier was going pretty fast." the doctor told me.

I looked at Theo and we both nodded.
