"And I used to think life back home was complicated," Barry muttered to himself. He was currently reading up on what happened in Sokovia. "Did we ever fight a murder robot?"

"Plenty," Kara replies, "But I don't think those were sentient and self aware. This seems like more of a Skynet thing."

Barry just hums. "We could've helped." Kara snorts and shakes her head. "I think they handled it just fine."

"You think having a whole country get ripped up from the Earth is fine?" Barry asks in disbelief.

"There's the alternative which is humanity all destroyed, look at the positives," Kara sing-songs.

"Right."

A few hours pass and they're both reading up on the whole Accords thing. Before they could continue, FRIDAY announces Tony's arrival.

"Boss is here."

The elevator doors open and in walks Tony. He seems to have two yellow packets in hand while he types something on his phone.

"FRI, buy Pepper some Jimmy Choo's or something, she definitely deserves them," Tony says as he hands the packets to Barry and Kara, motioning for them to open them.

"Sure thing, Boss. Would you like me to add some
Gucci as well?"

"Go crazy, baby girl." Tony sits down on the couch opposite of where Barry and Kara are and types something on his phone quickly before turning his attention to the two supers. "Okay, Kara I know you said you were from '66 but that's actually quite not believable so I made your birthday on September 22, 1990. And Barry, yours is the same, March 14, 1989. Backstories are quite simple. Kara, you are an orphan and grew up in the foster system, you got out once you were eighteen, went to college, which we need to work on by the way, got a masters in journalism and applied at SI. You've been working for us for quite some time when I finally decide to hire you as my personal assistant, surprise! Barry, you're the black sheep of the family because you decided not to become a doctor and instead practiced forensic science. You worked for a private company before it was destroyed, and now you're part of the SI R&D! Yay!" Tony finished off his explanation with jazz hands.

"Any questions?"

Kara and Barry just blinked, still trying to process what Tony had said.

"W-what?" Was what finally came out of Kara's mouth. "Are you serious?"

"As a heart attack," Tony quipped then grimaced, clutching his chest, "Probably shouldn't have said that. I have a heart condition."

Barry frowned at the but didn't comment on ir. "And you're just gonna help us, like that? We could be dangerous to you for f- god's sake!"

"Like I said," Tony stands up and stretches, which was weird because when had he sat down? "I've done more for less. And besides, the pebbles of the universe decided you're here to help me save it. I don't think anything else matters in the long run."

Before Barry and Kara could say anything else, FRIDAY interrupts.

"Boss, Peter is on his way to the lab."

"Shit! It's lab day," Tony curses and starts walking towards the elevator but then pauses when he sees Kara and Barry still staring at him. He looks at them with a calculating gaze that makes the two supers a bit uncomfortable before he nods to himself. "Come with me to the lab so you can meet my kid."

"You have a lab!?"

"You have a kid!?"

Tony stared at the two then says, "I feel like that says a lot about you two separately. We'll get to know each other more later on, maybe even have a sleep over and paint each other's nails. But for now, you're going to meet my kid."

"–Kay so FRIDAY, pull up the notes for BARF please, where we left off last time, and please highlight the questions that Mr. Stark didn't get to."

As Barry and Kara walked into Tony's lab, which basically looked like Barry's wet dream, they heard the voice of a teenager. As they fully entered the space they saw a hunched figure with brown curly hair communicating with FRIDAY. Before they could even announce their presence the teenagers head snapped up, eyes wide in what looked to be alarm.

"Mr. Stark!" The teen exclaimed then narrowed his eyes at the two newcomers.

"Heya, Underoos. What are you working on?" Tony asked him as he got closer to the teen and ruffled his hair. The teen scrunched his nose up but didn't make any moves to stop Tony from messing up his hair. He then turned to look at the two newcomers, eyes narrowed once again in suspicion.

"Who are these people, Mr. Stark?"

"Oh! These are my new employees, Barry Allen and Kara Danvers. They're going to be around the tower quite a lot so I thought you'd meet them so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings."

The two shared a look, having what seems to be a silent conversation. After a while, Peter's shoulders relax, albeit a little forcefully. Tony just huffs fondly and rolls his eyes at the teenager. "Don't worry, Underoos. I can take care of myself." Peter just shrugs at that and turns to face Kara and Barry fully.

"Hi! I'm Peter Parker, Mr. Stark's intern," Peter says as he thrusts out his hand for handshakes. Barry reacts first and his eyes widen in surprise as he feels the teen's strong grip. Kara raises a brow and shakes Peter's hand as well, gripping Peter's hand just as tight as him. At that, Peter narrows his eyes once again before letting her hand go.

"All right kid, I'll be back in a bit. Introduce yourself to the new employees or whatever, I need to meet up with Pep really quick."
