A gun was fired.
The noise of the gunshot echoing through the alleyway.
The man fell to his knees, then onto his side slowly bleeding out.
A shadow was standing over the body.
"I don't belong anywhere..." said the man as he bitterly chuckled.
His hand that held the gun fell to his side, the other covered his eyes.
He looked down at the body through his hand, the blood slowly reaching to his feet.
"Just like a bird being released into the wild for the first time. Not knowing where to fly, not having a home, and the only place it knows...it hates it." He whispered as his blue eyes looked up at the sky.
His other hand fell to the side as well.
Not many stars were seen that night, or at least in the city. They were hidden away to find...
The man sighed, turned around, and walked away...
The sound of his footsteps echoing.
A black car was waiting just on the curb next to the exit of the alleyway.
The car door opened and the man slumped against the back seat.
The driver looked at the man through the rear-view mirror. Then hit the gas.
As the car was moving, the man looked out the window. 'Why is it always the same...' his dead blue eyes scanning for life.
The car entered through a gate into a driveway of a mansion.
"Mr. Hendrix, we have arrived." Said the driver as he parked the black car.
The man was pulled out of his thoughts. He looked out the window and saw they indeed arrived, he was so lost in his thoughts he didn't notice they got there.
"Right.." he sighed and exited the car.
The cold breeze hitting his face making his blond hair fly around in every direction. The wind stopped and his hair fell back down, his bangs falling on each side of his face framing it perfectly.
He started walking to the entrance of the mansion. Going up the fancy stairs that lead to the huge front door. Two guards on each side.
"Mr. Hendrix" they both greeted the man as they opened the door for him.
He kept his eyes ahead not bothering to associate with them.
Walking into the mansion, a huge staircase was seen splitting in the middle into two separate ones going to each side leading to the second floor.
The floor was a white cream color, big windows were also seen as you walk in.
Rooms in every direction you look at, it was beautiful to all eyes who saw it. But not to him.
"Lance!" Called a voice as they approached the blond with a small smile.
"Hey, Trevor." Called the blond as he locked eyes with the brunette who walked up to him, his bangs slightly falling over his brown eyes.
"It took you longer this time, did it go smoothly?" Asked Trevor.
"Yeah, it went well, I just got lazy and played around with him a bit." He said as he ran a hand through his blond hair and smirked. He lied. He put on the mask again, the mask that hides the miserable look on his face.
Trevor chuckled "well at least you completed the mission...." he put his hand on the blond's shoulder.
The blond smirked and shook his head "Trevor...Trevor...Trevor...never keeping his hands to himself, if you want me that bad just say so." He said with a wink.
