As if God snapped his fingers and the world stopped.

The feeling of the jolt in your heart when you receive happy news.

When the impossible happens and you get the feeling it was dumb luck or maybe fate.

Everything around them seemed to disappear, the only thing they saw was each other, nothing else.

All the thoughts of today melted away, everything that just happened slipped out of their minds.

Like a spell being cast, neither moved. Just standing there as if they did the other would just disappear.

The two stared at each other with wide eyes, not daring to move a muscle.

Both trying to process it, understanding they indeed met again even though they mentally prepared not to.

Like when you finally give up on something, only to be told there is still a chance. It was a feeling neither were prepared for.

Palms starting to sweat, their breathing becoming heavier, both scanning for any emotion in the eyes of the other.

The feelings they felt earlier came back, but this time stronger. Instead of loneliness and fear, came warmth and hope.

Either of them understood these feelings at the moment, only knowing something felt right, not like before.

The cold feeling of sadness was washed away by the warm feeling in their hearts as they kept looking into each other's eyes.

Was this how they imagined they would meet? No, not at all. Did they even expect to meet again? No. But it was as if they got another chance but in a different situation.

"-SH" Yelled a voice.

"-NCE!" Yelled another.

The two snapped out of their thoughts, being pulled away from the warmth and safety they felt, and being thrown back into the cold harsh reality.

Lance turned to his side still with wide eyes, seeing Trevor's confused look. Ash looked behind him with confusion in his eyes, seeing concern written over the faces of his friends.

"Is everything okay?" Asked Trevor in a low voice, making sure only Lance heard him. "Yeah.." answered Lance, his voice coming out as a whisper instead of his cold tone. he looked back, his eyes landing on Ash.

Trevor didn't recognize Ash at all, he was way too drunk that night to even see clearly...

Ash nodded at his friends signaling he is alright, their expressions becoming more relaxed when he replied.

Trevor however, was skeptical of Lance's answer, but let it go for now.

Lance cleared his throat, gathered all his courage, and spoke. "I'm Lance, The one in charge." He said as he extended his hand for Ash to shake. Still breathing heavily, shaking a bit. A cold chill ran through his body as Ash looked back at him.

Ash looked back at Lance. He stopped breathing for a second as he heard the blond talk, his smooth voice, and his name, it just made sense. It sounded like his name was made up just for him.

Ash extended his hand and spoke "Ash." He took Lance's hand and shook it.

They both immediately felt a rush run through their body. Like an electrical shock as their hands held each other. Like gasoline meeting fire, their bodies reacted to the other immediately as if they were longing for the other.

They both looked into the eyes of each other, getting under the familiar curse. Ocean blue ones getting lost in ruby red ones.

Something seemed to click, which scared them, what was this new feeling? Heavier than the one from before, more complicated.
