Hey. This is the last CHAPTER. We still have an epilogue and a bonus chapter, though, and then I'm going to post a little blurb at the end of all of it, and I'll answer questions and stuff if you guys have any, so post them below!!! (: This chapter is cute, I think. ;') (<--it's a crying smiley.)
thanks for reading, everybody. OH! and a NEW teen pregnancy story will also be uploaded later today, (like in five minutes, lol) called My Best Friend, the Prince. It's not the best, cause I didn't know how to end it, so it's got a crappy ending, but the beginning and middle are decent... SO PLEASE GO READ IT! (:
NOT YOUR AVERAGE TEEN PREGNANCY
Chapter Thirteen
-THREE AND A HALF MONTHS LATER- (A/N: sorry for the skips in time, but it would get boring if I didn't.)
POV OF DEREK
I scored one goal, and then searched the crowd for my Ellie. She wasn't there. I skated over to Coach.
"TAKE ME OUT! ALEX, GO IN!" I shouted, running off the ice.
"Kid, what are you doing?" Coach asks.
"Ellie isn't here!" I shout, taking off my skates in the locker room.
"So what, kid? Get back on the ice," Coach yells.
"Ellie is my girlfriend, and she's eight and a half months pregnant," I say.
"Why didn't you say so? Go, son. She needs you," he says, walking off. I changed back into my normal clothes. I grabbed my phone, and sure enough I had a text from my mom.
'Ellie's in labor, don't worry, see you after the game.'
I grabbed my stuff, and ran to my car. I drove a little over the speed limit, but not like I used to.
I ran into the hospital, stopping at the receptionist desk.
"Ellie McLane," I say, in a breath.
"Floor 3," she smiles flirtatiously. I scowl, and run to the elevators. I get there, and see her being moved on a bed.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"She's being moved and then we have to wait for here to dilate," my mom smiles, "How did the game go?"
"Beats me, I didn't stay past the first half," I say, and then turn to Ellie. I grab her hand and she smiles a little.
They get her up in the room, hooking her up to all kinds of machines, and I pull a chair to her bedside. I hold her hand, and she looks at me.
"You made it," she breathes.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." I kiss her forehead, letting my lips linger on her soft forehead.
A doctor came in and explained a bunch of stuff to my mom and Ellie. I didn't understand a word of it. A little time passes, and Ellie looked at me, wide eyed.
"What's wrong?" I asked her. Then, she groaned, and squeezed my hand. HARD.
---
"It's time," the doctor came in, making Ellie bend her knees and set her feet on the bed. I sat by her, stroking her sweaty hair, and brushing it out of her eyes. She squeezed my hand, groaning.
"Push," the doctor ordered. Ellie groaned and looked at me like she might explode or something.
"I see the head, come on, push on three...one...two...three!" the doctor ordered.
Then, in a blur, I heard the cry of the baby, and someone announce, 'It's a boy!" They let me cut the umbilical cord, and I looked at the beautiful baby boy.
"Wait. Something's not right," my stomach lurched as the doctor announced this. I walked back to Ellie's side, and kissed her forehead.
"There's another baby!" the doctor said. She's having twins?!?
More pushing, more squeezing, and grunting. Poor Ellie.
"It's a girl!" the doctor smiled, and we were handed two beautiful babies.
"What do you want to name them, beautiful?" I ask, kissing her forehead.
"Ryan Lance," she smiles, "You name her."
"Rose Lynn," I reply, feeling honored that I got to name her.
"I like it," Ellie says, kissing my cheek.
