Chapter Fifty Eight: Videos

Two Months before War End

It was early in the morning that the channel Men of the GAR went viral. It was showing up all over the holonet in mere hours.

The first was a video of various clones sneezing. Very normal, even with the huge differences between some. One of the main stars being a young clone named Pup, who has a tiny, little, puppylike sneeze. The very next clip was a medic with a snake around his neck named Cobra, who sneezed like a gunshot and scared everyone around him.

The second video was titled "Children of the GAR". It was a compiliation of the so called "Clone'ade" and their natborn parent. The second to last clip was battle footage of a 501st natborn medic named Theya, who many recognized as the former owner of 77's. She had a very excited looking baby strapped to her chest as she took out a droid using a medkit.

The last clip was the Jedi creché, and a youngling named Desnuri. She looked to be about five, playing with a youngling who had "212th" embroidered in gold into her sleeve. The subtitles designated them as "Desnuri jai Sheelal" and "Tal Rei". Several other clone'ade were in the background, the younger ones just mostly laying on the floor, while the older ones were trying to explore. A Togrutan Jedi was holding a very young baby with similarly red montrals, chatting with a Twi'lek padawan holding two toddlers.

The third video, which had drawn many eyes, was a collection of clips of troopers. It then showed all of their images and the dates they'd gone missing in action.

It revealed the horrors of being a clone.

One clip was dated from the first year of the war. A clone trooper, missing one leg, was shoved to the floor by a senator. Another senator, Senator Valak, just laughed along, both senators hurling insults at him.

"We mourn the loss of CT-45-667, also known as Baritone. His brothers, Clone Troopers Siren, D-Flat, Woodwind, and Bard, all mourn their brother and wish justice could be rightly served to the senators who pushed him to march on without them."

The next clip was from the Coruscant guard, of a trooper getting dragged away from his brothers, screaming for them to keep a civilian, a young Mirialan by name of Jewel, and her daughter safe. The on screen text read:

"Exhes was taken to Kamino against his will, and reconditioned after Jewel, pressured by fear and stress just after having her daughter, gave up his CT number. Many clone'ad born on Coruscant, in the hospitals, had their mother interrogated. Most didn't give up the clone's name, as the clone ran the risk of decommission (Being Put Down) or reconditioning (a wiping of the mind through copious drugs and brainwashing). Exhes no longer remembers Jewel or his daughter, no matter how much his batchmates, Tic, Tac, Toh, and Owhs try to help him remember."

The next, in that same part, was of an exhausted intersex clone in loose civilian clothes, clutching a pair of newborns as she was cornered like an animal by a Kaminoan and Kamino guards. She was darted and knocked unconscious.

"Vayda, an intersex clone, was discovered shortly after she had her sons. We haven't seen her or her sons since. It is assumed that Vayda was decommissioned, but the fate of her sons is unknown."

A clip rolled of one of them, Fives, playing with the youngling from before, Desnuri. She squealed excitedly as he tickled her, grinning himself, "Fives! Stop!!" She managed through her giggling, and Fives laughed as he pulled his hands away.
