"Lucy stop bothering me I need to finish this task." Geneviéve says annoyed and I turn from the stove to look at my sisters who are bantering for twenty minutes staright. "Gen stop yelling at Lucy!" I say my sister looking up at me annoyed.

"She's getting in my way all the time! I'm trying to focus here so I don't get as dumb as she is!" I narrow my eyes at her hurtful words.

"Then go into my room I don't want you talking like this here." I say while my eyes wander over to Lucy who has tears in her eyes. Geneviéve sighs annoyed and gets her things rushing into my room, making sure that the door slams loudly after her.

I sigh it gets harder every day. Gen turns Fourteen in a few months and she's not the small child anymore. She's turning into a teenager who's got interest in fashion and boys which means she's acting horrible at home. As if mom isn't stressed enough with paying the bills so she can go to school and maybe score a higher job than we have.

"Come here." I say to Lucy and she struts over to me rubbing her eyes. I sigh and pick her up setting her on the counter. "She's so mean sometimes. I just wanted to help her with her tasks. She doesn't spend any time with me anymore." My almost six year old sister says sadly and I push her long hair out of her face.

"It's not her fault believe me Lucy. Gen is at an age where she finds hanging around with her smaller sister  not cool. But if you'd ask me I think you're the coolest person I know." I whisper making her chuckle.

Her laugh warms up my heart that's been so dull for the past week. I sneaked out every night to find the tree house empty no trace of Tarver and me meeting up in the past. He left with everything we had. I dropped his coin from that night into the small jar I have on my nightstand staring at it every night.

"I don't think I'm cooler than you are Kat." My sister says gazing up at me and I widen my eyes exaggereted.

"Did you ever meet yourself Lucy? I'm just so cool because you're my sister." I say tickling her side and she starts to laugh that beautiful laugh of hers. It's contagious and I realize that I hear it too little in the last time. "Stop! I- can't.. breathe." My sister says in between laughing and I chuckle before I retreat my hands from her sides.

She needs a little time before she gains her breath again. "Kat?"

"Yes?" I say looking down at her, big blue eyes staring up at me wonderingly. "If the prince marrys you will I become a princess as well?" My eyes widen surprised at her words.

"Lucy let me tell you one thing. You don't need a crown to be a princess and just because some people have the privilege to be born into a royal family doesn't mean that they're a true princess in their heart. You already are a one." I say pressing my pointer finger on her chest over her heart.

"You have the most beautiful heart I know and every princess on this planet would love to have a heart like yours." She smiles happily at my words but furrows her brows after a few seconds.
