Something terrible happened but I think when this letter reaches you you've already seen it in the news.
Her name was Marleen. She was my friend. My only friend here it feels like. I wish you'd be here and could hug me. I miss you so much.
I know you told me to be strong but I don't know how long I can bear this. I mean how can these people just stand there and watch.
No matter what Marleen did no human being deserves this kind of punishment. I think they shipped her off back home or god knows where. I couldn't even say goodbye.
