Chapter 14

The moment Reese's gaze darted on me, gusto kong tumakbo palayo sakanila pero hindi man lang ako nakagalaw o nakapagsalita. What kept running through my mind as I looked at Olivia was the scene where she was kissing another man. Sa mismong lugar kung saan ko rin sila nakita ni Reese na naghahalikan!

"Miss?" tawag sa akin nung nag-a-assist. 

Nilingon ko siya at halata sakaniyang mukha ang pagtataka kung bakit ako tumigil. Nginitian ko siya at naglakad na palayo habang dala ang damit na isusukat ko.

After fitting, I planned to not buy it because my mother's angry face suddenly popped on my mind. Umiling ako habang inaayos ang buhok. The saleslady knocked on the door, wanting me to open so she could take a look. Binuksan ko naman iyon at lumabas na ako. The lady clapped happily as she complimented me.

"Hala, ang ganda!" She even put her hand on her mouth as if she was shocked as how the dress fits me. Ang kaninang mapait na nararamdaman ay napalitan ng matamis na ngiti nang dahil sa saleslady na masaya akong pinupuri.

I should be shy and all because that's how I usually react but I smiled sweetly and confidently. Plano ko ang hindi na bilihin ang damit pero nagkaroon ako ng second thought.

"I should buy this..." I talked to myself while removing the dress inside the fitting room. I asked the lady to not leave me alone there at sinabi niyang doon lamang siya sa gilid kaya napanatag ako. When I was about to wear my clothes, someone knocked on the door that made me confused.

"Ano po 'yon?" I asked, assuming that it was the saleslady.

"Hindi ka pa ba tapos d'yan? 'Yung girlfriend ko naiinip na. Kanina ka pa r'yan, ah?!" My heart boomed when I heard an unfamiliar voice of a man. My blood started to boiled but I couldn't speak because I was too scared he might break the door while I'm still on my undies.

"Uh... malapit na akong matapos. Can't you wait a bit?"

"Sinasabi mo bang paghihintayin mo ang girlfriend ko?!" I almost jumped when he slammed the door. I started to wipe my cold sweat. 

Nasaan na ba ang saleslady? Didn't she say that she'll guard the door for me?

Hindi ako makapagbihis sa takot sa lalaki na nasa labas. Hawak ko lang ang dress ko habang nakatingin sa pinto at medyo nanginginig. I was about to reach my phone to call Thalee when I heard the lock of the door. My eyes widened while I tried to hide myself with so much panic when I saw the door slightly being pushed open.

For Pete's sake, I'm still on my undies!

Handa na akong umiyak sa kaba at takot nang biglang may nakita akong pamilyar na braso na humawak sa handle sa labas at malakas na sinarado ang pintuan. I sighed in relief as I put on my dress quickly. Ni hindi ko na naayos pa ang sarili at dali-dali na akong lumabas.

Nang makalabas ay muntik pa akong madapa nang biglang may humila sa kamay ko. My eyes widened in fraction when Reese pulled me. Tuloy-tuloy ang kaniyang paghila sa 'kin kaya hindi ako maka-apila sakaniya. I could almost see his veins.

Nagpalinga-linga ako habang hila-hila niya pa rin ako para hanapin si Olivia. She should be just somewhere here!

Tumigil si Reese sa harapan ng counter. He snatched the dress from me and he put it on the counter. Kinuha na iyon ng babae at lumabas na ang bill. I took out my mother's card to pay when I saw the girl on the counter holding a black card.

"Huh?" I said out of confusion. Paanong... "Why did you pay for the dress?!" I asked Reese when I realized that the card was his. H-He paid for my dress! The dress that her girlfriend wanted to buy.
