𝙰𝚍𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚜 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙻𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚏 𝙳𝚊𝚠𝚗

Chapter 24

"Anyone else feels some 'bad vibes' around here or is it just me?" Wanwan asked out loud while they were all descending through some stairs that Luo Yi found hiding in plain sight. Masha turned to her and asked her what does she means by the 'bad vibes' and she explained that she was feeling uneasy or uncomfortable just by being in the place.

Masha just told Wanwan that maybe it's just how cold the air is since they're way below the sunlight by now, not knowing what was happening on the outside of the many territories the land has. They soon reached the bottom of the floor where it was even dustier than the other rooms from the previous floor of the ruined castle as well as the already accessible rooms. They opened a large and broken down door as Silvanna went first followed closely by a cautious Lylia and a chill X.Borg then came Baxia, Popol and Kupa, Ling, Yu Zhong, Masha, Benadetta and Luo Yi.

"I'm telling you guys, this place gives me the heabby jeebies." Wanwan said while they're all following closely behind Silvanna, as they explored what seemed to be- in their own opinion- the very basement of the already ruined castle and they can also see that the old bricks, stones and the very foundation of the place was not being held easily so they need to get out of there before the whole place collapsed.

"Uhhhh, Syl can we get out now? As in, RIGHT right now?" Lylia said in a panicked tone while they heard Kupa growled at something or someone in the dark. Silvanna, because of her curiosity, tried to point the lit torch to where Kupa was growling and saw a big, old, rusted and wooden door.

"Hmm, I wonder what's on the other side." She thought aloud to herself while her comrades all looked at her as if she was crazy.

"Silvanna, one touch and we're all buried more than 6ft below." Luo Yi warned while Cecillion was already in a stance to fly Carmilla out of there in case they would try something very reckless. Silvanna took a little step further and she was followed by the others doing the same thing except distancing themselves a little bit from where the young empress is currently standing.

"I don't see anything that can trigger this place from collapsing just by opening this door. I don't see anything that can tumble over us either." Silvanna observantly said aloud again as she looked around from the wooden door to the upper ruined and dusty walls.

"Look here everyone, there's something written in here." Carmilla said while Silvanna went over to where she was and got the torch closer as to emit light so that they can all read what the inscription says.

"To find answers in the present time;

Open the door that links you through the past." Wanwan said aloud, quoting what the inscription has laid out for them.

"So we do need to open the door then?" Silvanna asked while she looked at her fellow heroes and heroines who were there as they all shrugged indicating that they also don't know. Just then, the scroll that they were currently following and the scroll that Ling currently has- since he has been holding unto the scroll ever since it appeared to them back on the throne room- was glowing and now levitating together as they all watched the two scrolls unroll on its own and suddenly the two were connected and Ling got a hold of it once again.

"What in the other world just happen?" Wanwan asked while Ling then started to read what was in the scroll.

"It's some sort of spell, but I don't know whether we should say it aloud or not." He said while he looked at the others as seeking for validation which Silvanna asked for the scroll and Ling gave it to her. She was about to read it aloud when all of sudden, they all heard the ground rumbling above them and the whole room started to crumble and shake.

"There's no way we could get out of here!" Wanwan quickly said in a panic as Silvanna tried to budge the door to open but failed. She tried again, this time with Cecillion, Yu-Zhong, Masha and X-Borg helping her. The door ripped open and they all quickly got inside of whatever room the door led to while they all saw the only entrance and possible exit of that room now blocked.
