The glare of the setting sun was bright in your eyes, making you squint as you tried to look past it. You should have brought sunglasses, but you knew deep down you'd probably forget them somewhere and never remember until someone asked. Right now, you were scanning the beach in search of your pal, Ace. Thanks to all the people, though, you weren't having much luck in finding him.

"[Name]!! Over here!!!"

You whipped your head around at the voice, finally spotting him and the group you were going to hang with that night. You grinned, jogging over to the area. He was treating everyone to a night on the beach-side with his brother, Luffy, in celebration of the latter's success... In something. You had rolled your eyes at the unbaked excuse when the boys had shot you a text about it, but who were you to reject an opportunity like this?? You surveyed the rest of the group members, smiling at each of them briefly. There were two you had met before, and two you didn't know. The man who looked only half his age was Marco, Ace knew him from a job he used to work at. You knew him well enough. He was a bit of a smart mouth when he wanted to be, but otherwise he was nice to be around. The other person was a girl named Nami. She and Luffy had been friends during high school from what you were told. She was fun to be with, though her penny-pinching habits got a bit out of hand sometimes. You wondered about the other two. Ace had mentioned that he only really felt like bringing you and Marco along, so they had to be Luffy's friends. One was a nice looking young woman with light blue hair, she smiled over at you warmly before sticking out her hand to shake in greeting.

"I'm Vivi, nice to meet you!"

She said sweetly. You grinned, taking her hand in yours with a gentle shake.

"I'm [Name], but you probably know that now considering Ace just screamed it."

You replied with a chuckle. The next person had coiled, raven-colored hair that was tied back into a puffy ponytail. He also had a rather long nose, but you weren't one to judge. He offered you a smile, his hands in the pockets of his cargo pants.

"The name's Usopp!"

He greeted. That was a name you had heard before. You scrunched your eyebrows thoughtfully, your face brightening as you remembered where you had heard it.

"Hey, I know that name! You're the guy that tricked your class into thinking you were a girl till senior year, right?? Luffy's told me about you!"

Usopp gave you a nervous chuckle before rounding on Luffy, punching him hard on the shoulder. Luffy let out a yelp.

"How many times do I have to tell you, you idiot?? The term is transgender, I wasn't tricking anyone!!"

Luffy nursed his arm at the site of impact, getting defensive.

"Well I didn't know that then!! I just thought you were just pretending to be a girl or something!!"

He protested. Usopp sighed, giving a roll of his eyes as Nami laughed in response. You laughed sheepishly, giving Usopp an apologetic look.

"Sorry about that, dude. I should have guessed it would be a normal situation."

You said. Usopp chuckled, setting his hands on his hips.

"Don't worry about it, Luffy's not the brightest when it comes to these sort of things, I can't blame you for being confused with his story."

Ace let out a hearty laugh at the scene, looking down at his now pouting little brother with a playfully condescending look. You gave Ace's shoulder a swat, patting Luffy's back sympathetically before deciding to shift the conversation.

"So, what's the plan?"

You ask. Marco and Ace grin up at each other before answering.

"We're definitely gonna get hammered."
