You couldn't remember the last time you had felt genuine fear.

When you were young, fear came so easy for you. Trivial things would make your blood run cold. Of course, that was then. Now, you only knew fear when it looked you dead in the eye.

And as of right then, you could feel it glaring you down.

Once again, you weakly tugged at the cords binding you to the chair. It was a fruitless attempt. You blinked, your lashes brushed up against the fabric of your blindfold. Of course. Not only did they immobilize you, but they just had to take away your ability to see. The muscles in your body tensed as you heard voices drawing near your location. You tried to swallow, but your mouth was bone-dry. Instead, you did your best to ready yourself for any possible outcome.

With those Vinsmokes, anything could happen.

The door separating you from what you guessed was a hallway opened, and through the blindfold you could tell that someone had turned a bright light on. From the amount of footsteps that trailed into the room, you could tell there were about four people in the room with you. Heavy boots, kitten heels, and some loafers; You could tell the types from the sounds they made against the floor. Some lackeys, maybe a reporter for Don Judge at most. You sat still, your head hanging low as you spoke.

"If you caught me to extract information, just kill me already, I ain't got shit to say."

The croak of your voice surprised you, but you didn't dare let your vulnerability show. A low chuckle rumbled through the room, and your blood ran ice cold. While you weren't familiar with many faces of the Underworld, you couldn't mistake the mirthless laugh of the demonic king of illegal sciences. It hit you like a freight train; these people... They weren't lackeys. Almost as if they wanted to prove the point, the blindfold was ripped from your eyes, the harsh light making you wince. You only allowed them a bit to adjust, your weary, terror-filled eyes landing on none other than Vinsmoke Judge himself. One quick glance at the individuals beside him told you they were his infamous offspring. To his left, a woman, most likely the one with the kitten heels. Alongside her was a man with rather bold hair that swept in an odd upward angle. He was dressed lavishly, which failed to surprise you. The Vinsmoke family was known for their luxurious 'royal' lifestyle. Your eyes flitted to the right of him. There was only one man on his left, there was no doubt about how much of a jackass the guy was with the way he carried himself. There was a brief moment of eye contact between the two of you before you narrowed your eyes and broke it. You steeled yourself, swallowing your fear as you stared the group of terrifying individuals down. Judge's eyes never left you as he calmly replied to your forlorn comment.

"So quick to assume. You were brought here for a reason, but it isn't for information extraction."

The condescending tone of the brute made your blood boil, but you were in a situation where snapping back would get your neck snapped. Instead, you glared up at him suspiciously.

"Then may I know why you brought me here?"

You asked. Despite the obvious venom in your tone, the bearded brute only smirked. The smile promised only dark things and it was making you uneasy. You shifted in your chair, not breaking eye contact with the dangerous individuals. The one in green gave you a scrutinizing look, something you decided to counter with a nasty glare. You had brought enough shame to yourself with the slip-up in getting yourself caught, the last thing you needed to be doing was going belly-up because some band of prissy science geeks wanted to see you tremble. Judge must have noticed the growing tension between the both of you, as he cleared his throat for silence and attention. Immediately, the man in green broke eye contact to listen. Knowing he would be talking to you, you did the same.
