I woke to a loud sound of laughter and grunting. "Ally?!" I cried as I searched. The ground was scorched somehow and lilac sparks flew from the grass. "Ally?!" I yelled again. The trees had holes and it was as if they were whimpering like stray puppies.
"Give it up Meg! I don't know what you want with Niamh-" Ally grunted, falling to the ground. " but I couldn't care less! Just leave her alone!" She summoned a kind of staff. It was silver, embellished with purple diamonds. I looked up. Meg was hovering in the air.
"It's Megora to you sister, Mistress Megora. But anyways, I should tell you. I want her. I've seen her, she seems powerful enough,  whether she knows it or not. As a matter of fact, it's quite unlucky for her to have run into you rather than someone more, what's the word, graceful, as myself." She giggled. "She could've been powerful. Like moi." She shot a beam of lilac lightning at Ally.
"No!" I screamed, dashing towards Ally. I don't know what came over me. A pink dome sprouted from (my fingertips?no) the ground, shielding her. "You won't touch her!"
"Or will I?" Megora grinned.
She began to hurl lightning at Ally and I.
"ALLY!" I screeched. "RUN!" We sprinted off together towards the water.
"Ready for a dive again?"
"Ready as I'll ever be." I shrugged. We leapt into the icy depths of the sea, cold water seeping into my clothes and covering me to my shoulders. Ally squeezed my hand as I sunk a little lower and reappeared above the surface.
"Why isn't she f-following us?" I asked between chatters. The water was draining all the heat from my body.
"Because she hates water. She nearly drowned once and she can't swim, she's afraid." She answered back, gripping my hand tighter.
"Dear sister, I have magic. You might have some too but I have control. You're weak. "
"Am I?" Ally seized her staff and rose into the air, pulling me up with her. She conjured a board beneath me so I could stand on it.  "Take this!" She shrieked, firing lilac lightning at Megora. It hit her arm and she stumbled back.
"Argh!" She groaned. "S-sister this won't be permanent. I'll return to kill you within a day's time."
"Can't wait, Megs." Ally giggles as Megora teleports away.
"Oh, oh I am so sorry." She smiles as she conjures a towel for me. Ally wraps me in a tight hug, her slender fingertips  barely scratching my face. My face reddened. "I am so sorry- does that make you uncomfortable?" We make eye contact without breaking it.
"N-no yeah I uh yeah uhm…" I was at a loss for words. Why does she make me feel this way?
"I am so so so sorry!" She squeaks.
"It's fine more than fine totally cool." I turn away sheepishly.
"She knows where we are now. I think I have a place to get us to instead." She raises her staff with a grin. "You haven't done this before, I hope, so hold on tight." I grab her round the middle. She looked stunned but then broke into a small smile.

We teleported to a seemingly remote location.

"Our parents used to bring us here when we were younger

"Our parents used to bring us here when we were younger." She said with a frown. "How I miss them now.."
"Why can't you go to them?" I asked.
"Because when Meg went all-" she made a face of insanity and twirled her fingers near her ears- " she killed them."
"Oh. I'm so sorry for your loss." I smiled, my hands coiling around her.
"Don't worry about it. That was a couple years ago anyways." She smiled back. "It's getting kinda late. I'll wake you up in the morning."
"Night, Ally."
"Goodnight Niamh."
