(This is back to Niamh's POV)
I blinked. "Whazz goin on?" I muttered. I tried to sit up. My shoulder felt as if it was on fire. I cursed, wincing.
"Sh, take it easy." Ally whispered. "You got hit by lightning. I've never healed anything of the sort, we need to take you to a healer."
"You can't do it?"
"Maybe I can but I don't know what could go wrong. Magical lightning strike? I don't wanna take my chances."
"You mean it wasn't regular?"
"No. It was-" I interrupted her.
"Megora."
"Yep." We sat in silence for a while.
"Ok, I'm gonna teleport us to a healer now. You ready?" I nodded weakly. As I blinked, there we were. A beautiful roman style cottage stood before us. A boy who appeared to be the same age as us ran out.
"Ally! Hey!" He called from the door. He began to trudge through the puddles the storm had left behind. "What brings you here? You haven't visited in a year."
"I know, and I'm sorry. It's just not safe anymore, not since the stunts Meg pulls." She grumbled. He nodded in understanding.
"Who's the stranger?" He asked.
"This is Niamh. Meg's after her."
"But isn't that really unsafe? I'm worried about you."
"She's chasing me too, Zachary, it's about as unsafe as it was last year. And we've managed fine for 13 months anyways. Until tonight."
"The storm? Did she get hit?"
"Yeah. She did."
I began to sit up. "H-hi."
"Hi! I'm Zachary."
"Niamh." I winced. "But judging by what I heard, you already know that."
"Yeah I do. I can heal you?"
"Please do. I can't take this pain." I wailed.
"Let's go then." We lost ourselves in chatter.
Ally coughed from behind us.
"Oh. Right. Sorry." Zachary ushered us inside.
"Considering you haven't been to visit, you obviously wouldn't know." Zachary smiled. "Honey, come down!"
"You got a girlfriend?" Ally asked.
"Not quite." Said a voice at the staircase. It was a man. "Hi. I'm Damian, pleasure to meet you." He kissed Zachary's cheek and turned to face us. "You must be Ally-" he looked at Ally, "and who are you?" He turned to me.
"Niamh. Sorry, I don't know your boyfriend very well, we just met today."
"Understandable."
"Anyways, you're here for a healing right?" Zachary asked as Damian sat beside him.
"Yeah that's right." I said.
"Ok, hold still." He put his hand over my wound. It was as if all my woes were being washed away, every thought of panic being drained. My body felt light and so did my mood. It was if I was safe. He removed it to look at his work. "All done!"
"Thank you so so much."
"You don't need to go anywhere yet, join us for dinner." Damian offered. "Maybe we can even help you beat Megora."
"That's very kind of you, but-"
"We could use a healer and a...?" I piped up.
"I'm a swordsman." Damian answered.
"And a swordsman. Obviously they're going to be helpful to us, Ally! Please?"
Ally sighed in defeat. "Ok fine."
"Thank you!"
We spoke through the night together, and for once, I felt at peace.
