There's a little, tiny manga spoiler in here. I don't think it's a big deal, but some might.

Lina and Kai walked to school alone the next Monday. They hadn't received any messages back, no info about how you were doing, and were worried about you. Kai had already detected that this was your plan in avoiding them. Though you could never entirely avoid him since he was your neighbor.

"Do you know what's going on with her?" the girl asks on their way to school.

Kai lets out a groan, "Yeah, she doesn't want to see us or something. Y/n has never really acted like this. Something must be going on with her. She blocked me on Instagram for some reason."

"She doesn't have an Instagram?"

The boy starts laughing, "She probably has you blocked too."

"Geez, I never knew this girl could be like that. Well whatever it is, I hope it's nothing too serious."

What Lina didn't know was that she was part of the reason why you had been acting like this. You knew it was bad to feel inferior to her, it was just selfish. But she was what you wished you were like.

Many times you thought that maybe Atsumu was right. Maybe the two of you should have never met, and maybe you were a waste of his time.

You arrived to school as early as you could, having to get things for the club done and situated. The day was already off to a busy start. There was only a few teachers and other students scattered around the hallways. On a plan to avoid Kai, you were getting everything done in the room so that you could do other assignments in different rooms.

Everything was going fine until a knock at the door was heard. You jumped out of your seat with your clothes disheveled. You let out a sigh when you saw it was just Ray. Straightening up your look, you sat back down at your seat.

"Why are you here?" you questioned him and went back to setting up the theme for this year.

He nervously chuckled and sat down in the chair beside yours, "Just got done with morning practice."

"Your team is doing morning practice?"

"Yeah, we're coaching the first years. They're doing pretty good. Hopefully we'll get to advance to the big fields this year."

"Oh... you're captain aren't you?" Atsumu is captain too.

"Uh-huh," he nodded proudly

"Well that's good," you were trying your hardest to get him to go away.

"And I'm guessing your old chairperson from last year gave you the job as figurehead?"

You nodded and smiled, "Yeah, they did. Anyways, why did you come here?" you asked him, getting straight to the point.

"Oh nothing really, but about the last time we talked. I just wanted to make sure everything is fine between us."

"Uhm, I already told you, everything is good. I just... wont ever get over it," you closed down the PC and stood up, grabbing your bag and slinging it over your shoulder.

"Right right!" he also stood up and followed right behind you, "I kind of only wanted to tell you I still entirely like you," Ray grabbed onto your shoulder.

"Yeah?" you sighed. He nodded, shamefully putting his head down and walking beside you. The walk was silent, only the voices of students piling in were heard.

"So, you're fine with it right?" he chucked nervously, "I'm guessing you're with Miya. I saw last years yearbook-"

"No, I'm not," you bluntly said.

"Oh, well I'm sorry. It's probably because of me."

"No, it's not," you sighed and looked at him, "Listen, we all got our things worked out. Everything is fine now. It's just me who's being a terrible person and wants to ruin whatever 'peace' we have between us. I'd appreciate it if we stopped talking about him."

You were at the verge of breaking down in front of everyone. As you walked up the stairs for the classrooms, you didn't even notice the volleyball team (including Atsumu) who were walking inside from their morning practice.

He had seen you, and it disappointed him when he saw Ray walking beside you. His thoughts were still filled with the image of you walking away with him that one time. But he was brought back to encouraging the team as Osamu knocked him back to his senses.

"I know what you just saw. Don't worry about him," his brother reassured him.

Suna dismissed the rest of the team to their own classes. He had also seen you and Ray, though he couldn't really care less. Afterall, why would you want to be with someone who ruined your life once and could ruin your life again?

When Atsumu left to his class, Osamu turned to Suna. "You've gotta tell me what you and Y/n did in Tokyo. Unless it's some dirty shit, I don't wanna hear that."

"Don't say that. We didn't do anything like that, we never will. This is so that Atsumu can get his shit together and for her to distract her mind from him. But I'll tell you a couple of things that happened."

"Alright, but you better not lie to me."

-

You were thinking about talking to Atsumu. Or just checking in to see how the rest of the others were doing. Though you also were keeping your plan on keeping away from them.

As the bell rang, you sprung up from your seat. You knew that any of them could easily walk in and talk to you, completely interrupting your plan of ignoring them. But as you thought about it, you turned back around and headed towards Class 1 where you knew the group would be at.

Your head poked through the small window in the door. But as your eyes scanned through the room, you only saw Lina and Atsumu at the table alone. It made you frown, stupid heart with its stupid feelings.

Not wanting to feel any worse, you decided to turn around and leave. Unfortunately, when you looked forward down the hall, you saw Suna, Osamu, and Kai. They had stopped midway and were staring at you. You had started feeling worse now, and so you rapidly turned around and walked rapidly to the bathroom.

You were so done with the day already. You knew that it wasn't what you thought it was. Because why would it? Lina knew how in terribly love you were in Atsumu. And Atsumu said he'd wait for you. But what if he moved on already? So now here you were, overthinking everything in a bathroom stall.
