You never messaged him.

Atsumu laid down, a mess all over his room that he no longer shared with his brother. The boy had tried everything to get you to talk to him, but nothing ever worked. At first, he thought you were just avoiding him to prevent any awkwardness. But as he kept trying and trying, first with commenting on posts, then with private messages, and finally with making calls to you, he then realized you truly were ignoring him. It hurt him a bit, knowing you were trying to distance yourself from him. But why?

Even Kai would talk to him, and he seemed pretty happy and normal. Only that, that was because you would never tell your best friend what he could and couldn't do.

It started with Atsumu giving himself the challenge to work harder to finally be able to be your boyfriend.

It wasn't that you just didn't want to talk with him and be friends anymore. Because that truly was not the case. Instead, it was because of the fact that you felt like getting over him. You were trying to get rid of the feelings that you held towards Atsumu, only because you knew that it would never work.

Everyday you felt like an asshole as you waited for Atsumu's call contact to disappear from your screen. You were so tempted to hit the answer button when it happened. But you knew you would instantly fold as soon as you heard his voice, losing any intentions of giving up on him.
