During the day, Brian had politely asked me to continue taking my blood. "That is what I'm here for after all," I told him neutrally, and he seemed to hesitate at that. I asked him where he had gotten blood from while he wasn't getting from me, and he told me that he was using people that Jeff had freshly killed.

"Well... now you have me again." I smiled at him. Brian was looking at me quietly, and his mood seemed to drop. Was it fancy, or was I actually able to sense his mood now? I inwardly shrugged. I guess it was because of how I lived with him for long.

He'd taken his pill, and I went to doodle on the notepad he had. It was running low on pages. After some time, you guessed it... I fell asleep out of boredom. While I slept, I had a dream.

I was running. Running away from a unicorn. As it chased me its mane dazzled in the wind, and I was almost hypnotized by its beauty. I fell down into a hole and bumped into a black, scary horse. I thought it was going to eat me.

The horse reared up at me, and stomped its feet. It came closer, and closer... and closer. I shut my eyes. But then the horse whispered, "You'll be okay." I opened my eyes slowly, and suddenly, the hole wasn't all black and scary.

Suddenly, the hole was just a grotto in a treehouse. It looked fairylike. There were glowing dust particles and bioluminescent moss species. All of a sudden, I was on top of the horse's back. It carried me swiftly to another treehouse, an even better, more magical one.

I got off the back of the horse and touched the bark of the tree lovingly. But when I looked back, the horse had melted away. In its place was a beautiful and saddled pony. I smiled and hugged the pony. "Come on then, let's go!"

I tried to lead the pony to the treehouse, but it wouldn't budge. The pony made stubborn noises and kept its feet grounded. I pulled on its reins so hard that I fell backward into the treehouse. Inside, it was like an ugly goblin's lair. And when I fell inside, I fell into a pool of black quicksand.

When I screamed, the black horse was back, but with the same saddle as the pony. It picked me up and I held onto its mane tightly as it ran away from the tree. As it broke into a trot, I realized that it carried me back to the grotto.
