Summary: When it happened in third year, Hermione was able to keep it quiet. She was the smartest witch of her age, after all. A night in the Forbidden Forest every now and again, and the occasional trip to the forest of Dean when she was home over the holidays kept everything under wraps.
Then it all went wrong, and her only family is the Blacks who took her in and accepted her when it seemed like no one else would.
