Chapter 3

TESSA'S POV~

We walked into Weasley Wizard Wheezes and was blinded by the bright lights shined on us. As my eyes adjusted, I looked up to the balcony over looking the store and saw Uncle George waving at us. I grabbed James' hand and pulled him up the stairs to where Uncle George was waiting.

"Uncle George! The store's looking cool!" I said hugging him. James hugged him.

"Hey kiddo! Your parents are in the flat upstairs, Fred is making dinner. I'll meet you there is a while." He said and kissed my the top of my head then walked downstairs. James pulled me towards the others staircase and we walked up.

Mum and Daddy were sitting on the couch looking at old photos and Lily and Al were nowhere to be seen.

"BOO!" Someone screamed behind us. I screamed and James jumped in front of me, his arm around my waist protectively. We saw Lily and Al rolling in the ground laughing but then Al saw us he stopped laughing. Lily however, kept laughing at us. James growled in annoyance and I glared at them and took James hand. I walked over to the love seat with James and sat down. I burrowed into his side still mad at Al and Lily. He put his arm around my waist.

Mum looked at me and I blushed, again. I always blush when James is around. It's not my fault I'm like this when I'm with him. James started tickling me because I didn't answer his question. Another problem was that I didn't hear his question.

"James! P-please stop! P-lease!" I begged in-between laughs.

"Not until you answer my question." He said with a smirk on his face. I made puppy dog eyes at him. He looked away. Dang it. I felt something weird going on in me. I felt like I was getting smaller. James looked at me with wide eyes. Looking down at my hands I screamed. My feet and hands had turned into snowy white paws, like a dog's paws.

Daddy was the only one who didn't look surprised. "Your grandfather was an animigus. His form was a big black dog though. Looks like you are a snowy white puppy. Cute. Try running around. James, stay next to her." He said. I got off my back and ran into the kitchen and James followed me.

"Ahhhhh!" Uncle Fred screamed when he saw me and James. "There is a puppy in the kitchen. James, get it out of here." He said.

"No, wait! It's Tess. She's a natural animigus. A cute white puppy. I wonder if I can transform as well?" He said. He face scrunched up in focus and I laughed but it came out like a bark. I looked at where he was a second ago but he wasn't there. I heard a bark behind me. Turning around I saw a brown stag standing there and I could understand him.

"Woah! This is so cool! I'm a stag! Dad! Mum! Look at me!" He said as he ran into the living room. I followed him and looked at Al's alarmed face. I laughed again and again it sounded like a bark. No one could understand James besides me.

"James, honey. We can't understand you. Only Tessy can. Can you please change back? You too Tessy." Mum asked. I focused on my human form and I felt like I was getting bigger. I looked at my hands and saw they were back to normal, James was normal too.

"That was AWESOME!!! I can't believe we can do that! Tess, you looked so cute in your form. But your normal form is the best in my opinion. You're so beautiful, but your eyes are the best thing about you." He said and turned fire truck red, realizing what he said. I looked at him my face turning red and my eyes threatened to release tears.

"Tess, I'm sorry. But I need to tell you that I really like you. I love your personality and the way you do things. Will you go out with me?" He asked shyly. James is never shy. I started crying. This is what I have wanted to hear him say for years. "Tess, are you crying?" He asked very alarmed and he ran to me and wrapped his arms around me. "Please, say something." He begged.

"Y-yes. I will go out with you. I have wanted to hear you say that for years. Of course I will. These are happy tears." I said and I smiled. He leaned in and kissed me and shocked me but I kissed him back. We broke apart and saw everybody besides Al go into the kitchen. Al was bright red and extremely angry. He looked like he was going to murder James.

"Al, are you okay?" I asked. Al growled at me. "Albus Severus Potter! Tell me what is wrong." I commanded.

"YOU ARE DATING HIM!! I HAVE HAD A CRUSH ON YOU SINCE WE WERE 7!! WHY!! WHY!!" He screamed.

"Because I love him." I said quietly. He was scaring me now. "Al, I'm s-" I began.

"NO! YOU CAN'T LOVE HIM! HE IS OBNOXIOUS, RUDE, AND SELF-CENTERED!" He yelled before he ran off. All I could do was cry because Al was scaring me. I turned to James a cried into his chest, Al was like my brother. Why? That's the only reason I want to know. Why?
