Chapter 8

TESSA'S POV~

We saw our rooms and Minnie said we could chill in our common room. There was a muggle flat-screen tv and a fridge in the kitchen. Minnie said that if we needed to, James and I could stay in our dorms if I had a terrible nightmare or if we weren't feeling well. Or in the worst case, Tom managed to get into school grounds.

Lily and Al decided to walk around the school till it was time to change.

"James, what do you want to watch?" I asked him.

"How about a movie? What do you want to watch?" He asked. I thought about it.

"Grown Ups!" I yelled. He chuckled. I love Adam Sandler movies. James put the movie in and I smuggled into his side as we began to watch.

"I'll be back in a minute, I'm going to get some popcorn." James said getting up. I nodded and continued to watch.

A scream came from the Gryffindor Common Room. James came blasting out of the kitchen and we ran out of our common room into the other common room. Al was there in his knees holding a green sweater, Lily's green sweater.

Al looked at us with tears in his eyes. "He took her. Tom took Lily." He said and I was in shock. Then I felt the hot salty tears falling down my face. I looked at James and he looked like how I felt.

I ran out of the portrait hole and sprinted to Minnie's office. looking back I saw James following me. We reached the gargoyle and he asked for the password.

"It's and emergency! Lily has been taken by Voldemort's son! Let us in." I said with venom in my voice and he looked scared but jumped to the side to let us in.

Running up the stairs I tripped and twisted my ankle and James stopped to help me but I waved him on.

Hearing a pop behind me, I turned around and saw Tom there with Lily. I screamed for James and he came running but was too late. Tom pulled out his wand and then all I saw was black.

JAMES' POV~

I reached the doors and told Minnie what happened. Then I heard Tess scream for me. Sprinting down the stairs I saw Tom holding Tess and Lily was on the ground. I lunged forward but Tom turned on his heal and apperated. Lily laid there.

"NO! TESSA! NO!" I screamed and Minnie came down from the stairs.

"No, he got them did he?!" She asked getting angry. All I could do was nod yes. I was sobbing on my knees now. Al, I have to find Al. Minnie stayed with Lily. Walking through the halls, I saw Al running towards Minnie's office.

"Al." I said softly. He looked towards me and I fell in my knees. Running towards me, he caught me before I fell on my face. "He took her. Tom took my Tessy. My love. He took her." And that's all I have said since she disappeared.

3 MONTHS LATER

TESSA'S POV~

Pain. That is all I feel anymore. The only thing that keeps me going is the thought of seeing James again. I think I'm still being held in Scotland.

When Tom tortures me, he doesn't just use the the torturing curse. If you use it too many times, the prey will become mental. Instead he uses muggle tools. Knives, hot coals, and many other horrible things. I don't scream though. if I scream, he continues the torture until I stop screaming or I pass out. Many different men come here to enjoy my torture. The men give Tom their house elves as payments. I believe Tom is brainwashing them to become his army.

I'm going to escape, tonight. I have built up my energy and I'm going to apperate out of here. Tom doesn't know that I can apperate. I need to escape. I need to find James and tell him Tom's plans.

Tom intends to keep hurting me until I accept his offer to become his wife. I always refuse and say no. I won't last much longer. My endurance is breaking. I need James. We are the ones who keep each other going. Without each other, we don't work quite right.

I'm getting out of here. Tonight.

HARRY'S POV~

"Dad, he hasn't talked for months unless you count him screaming for Tess in his sleep and only repeating the words he said when he finally realized that Tess was gone." Lily said to me. I hugged her. She doesn't understand.

Tess and James are the definition of love. If one of them died, the other would probably kill themselves unless they had kids to take care of. James only lives now because he has the hope that she will come back to him. I believe she will but I don't want to give him false hope.

Tess has been missing for 3 months. The doctors at St. Mungo's say James' condition will only get worse unless Tess is found.

"TESS! TESS!" James yelled and I sighed. Running upstairs, I opened James' door and saw a thin, brown haired girl wearing barely any clothing.

"James." She said before she passed out in his arms. I looked at the girls face and saw it was Tess. She escaped! Tessa is alive!

"GINNY! AL! LILY! TESS IS BACK! WE NEED TO GET TO ST. MUNGO'S, NOW!" I screamed.

I grabbed Tess and the rest of the family and we apperated to St. Mungo's. "HELP! Somebody help!" Ginny screamed and doctors came running and tried to take Tess from James' arms but he wouldn't let her go.

"James, if you want Tess to get better, you have to give her to them." I said gently. He let her go but followed them into the ER. They would only let James back there or else he would scream for Tess.

All we have now it hope. A simple four letter word. But yet is carries so much meaning.
