A million things were running though my head. Where could he be taking me? "Can I have a hint?"
"Hmm.. Salt."
"Salt??"
"Salt." What could he mean? Salt on food?

After being in the car for about 15 minutes, Brennen's Mustang came to a growling stop. I heard him open his door and get out. He then came to my door and opened it and took my hand. "Now for this to be a complete surprise, I need you to put these in." He gave me what felt like ear plugs. "Ear plugs?"
"Yes." So I put them in and then i felt him swiftly pick me off my feet and into his arms. He walked with me hanging there for a bit.

He sat me down and pulled my plugs out. "Don't be afraid, but I need you to climb." What in the world. "Um okay." So I did. I climbed all the way until he told me to stop. "Now take your blindfold off." So I did. What I saw was breath taking. We were at the top of the Bay Light House on the beach. But the view was only half of the beauty. There were candles everywhere with rose petals flying in the wind and a beautiful picnic set up. "Brennen.. Its. Its beautiful!!!"
"This is nothing compared to the beauty I see when I see you, Carley." I felt my eyes water up. I ran and gave him a huge hug and then i felt him kiss my cheek. We ate and talked and laughed all night.

When we were heading back home, he laid his hand on my leg and it was very comforting. We walked up the stairs and he kissed me goodnight. "I will call you in the morning, baby girl." When I closed the door, it must have woken Abby up because she came walking into the living room looking like she had been sleeping for days. "I was details." I knew it was coming. So Abby and I sat on the couch like little girls at a sleepover discussing their crushes. I told her all about the candle lit dinner at the light house and she had the biggest smile on her face. "You know you deserve all this, Carley. Jake treated you so poorley. You didn't do anything to deserve that. This is really meant to be. Brennen is a miracle." I knew I diserved better when I was with Jake. Now I have better and I don't want to ever loose that.

3 months later...

Brennen's p.o.v

"Okay. Tonights the night." I said to myself as I started to prepare for the night ahead of me. Looking in the mirror, I told myself, "Tonight I am going to tell Carley that I love her." I really do love her. We have been together for four long, wonderful months. She is the most important girl to me, aside from my mother.

I am going to make a reservation at her favorite resturant; then, I am going to invite her to stay over at my place tonight where I will set her down and tell her how I actually feel. Whatever happens from there, will happen from there.

Later that afternoon...

I walked over to Carley's to personally invite her to have the night to remember and when Abby opened the door, there was a guy sitting across from Carley holding her hand. I didn't know who he was but he was holding hands with my girl. That made a fire inside me and I wanted to do nothing more than to knock his face in. "Hey Carley... Can we... Can we talk?" She stood up as if I scared her. "One moment." She said to the guy sitting across from her. We went into her room and I had to do everything in my power to not blow up on her. I didn't know the story. "Who is that guy and why was he holding your hand, Carley?!"
"Brennen.. That is Jake. My ex." When I heard those fowl words, I almost lost it. "Why the hell is he here?!"
"I'm not sure how he even found me. He has been here all morning. He misses me, Brennen. I don't know whether to believe him or wha-" I cut her off. "Why should it matter? You aren't with him anymore, you are with me. He doesnt matter!!!" I went a little overboard yelling at her and I could see the tears forming in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Carley. I didn't mean to make you cry."
"Just.... Go home and I will be over later. Okay?"
"Carley..."
"Go!" She yelled. She has never yelled. When we walked out of her room, I turned her around and hugged her tight and gave her a big long kiss on the lips right in front of Jake to show him she was my territory. "Jealousy made me do it. I love you baby girl. See you tonight." I whispered in her ear. She looked up into my eyes and gave me a faint smile. I was on my way out. My heart was racing and all I wanted to do is make Jake pay for all the bad he did to Carley.

The clock reads 8:45pm and Carley still hasn't made it over. She told he she would come. I waited around a little longer. There was a knock on the door. "Finally." I sighed. When I opened the door, I saw a face I wasn't expecting to see. Jake.
