JJ's POV

I almost failed at stifling my laugh after Emily's reaction to the rest of the team walking in, Derek seemed to have heard it as well because he's failing at hiding the amused look on his face. And Em just glares at us but I mean she hasn't finished her second cup of coffee and hasn't eaten yet so it's to be expected. I'm broken out of my thoughts when Hotch and Garcia start briefing the case.

Garcia: "Okay my sleepy group of superheroes, you are heading to the lively city of New Orleans this fine morning"

Hotch: "There's been a series of rather gruesome murders down there and the only thing connecting the victims is this note but it seems to be in multiple languages which we haven't fully identified so we haven't been able to translate it yet"

Emily: "Can I see it"

I can't wait to see everyone's faces when she translates the whole thing.

Emily's POV

Everyone looks confused but JJ and Pen but Hotch hands over the paper anyways.

I grab the sheet of paper, a pen, and a notepad. And I quickly glance over the note easily recognizing all the languages.

Emily: "It says 'He/She deserved to die. They went against the bible and committed sin. Not only a sin but an action disgraceful to humanity. And the world needed them gone, because they're like a disease. They are sick and they wouldn't accept help. So I put them out of their misery to stop this epidemic, before it turns into a pandemic. Because these same sex loveing parasites need to go.' so our unsub is clearly targeting the LGBTQ+ community"

Hotch's POV

Well nothing in her file referenced her linguistic skills

Rossi's POV

Oooo she'll give Reid a run for his money

Reids POV

Is it too soon to say shes my new favorite team member

Morgans POV

Holy shit that was... just wow.

Emily's POV

I look up to see everyone staring at me with their eyes wide and mouths open. I mean I know that note is disgusting but it doesn't warrant a reaction like this. After a min I ask,

Emily: "What"

JJ: "I mean I knew you spoke multiple languages but it looked like there was like 5 different ones on there"

Emily: "7"

Garcia: "What"

Emily: "7 there are 7 languages on there; It starts with Irish then goes to Russian, then French, Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish, and finishes with Italian."

They just look at me with even more surprise on their faces except Rossi has this sort of proud dad look displayed on his face. I realized none of them know that I spoke several languages

Emily: "Oh... I'm a hyperPolyglot, due to constantly living in different countries growing up. And luckily the 7 languages on there I know."

Reid: "That was impressive"

Emily: "Um.. thanks but shouldn't we get back to the case"

Hotch: "Wheels up in 30"

Garcia POV

I notice JJ staring at Em so I nudge her leg to knock her out of the trance she's in. I mean it's super cute but we're in the office so pull yourself together woman.

After Hotch says his famous line I say bye to my fearless felines and head to my 'batcave'. Ready to start this case because cases like these get on my nerves like how could someone not be accepting its not lke it effects you if someone else is gay. People who think like this unsub are just yucky.

JJ's POV

I didn't realize I was staring until Pen nudged my leg, luckily Em didn't seem to notice. After Hotch's line, we all got up and left the conference room, more or less heading to our cars. Em and I just went down to the car because we didn't need to grab anything from our desks and we both like to be early to things. Well she likes to be early, I just want the couch so I can sleep after we work a little on the case seeing how long the plane ride will be.

We did however stop for food because grumpy pants next to me hadn't eaten yet and when I saw she got angry I mean she got hangry. And shockingly we're the last ones on the jet, leaving Em and I to split the couch. Normally we don't have to share but we're giving some field agents who were up here for a conference a ride back down because it's cheaper for the FBI or some shit, at least that's what Strauss told us. But secretly I'm kinda happy because now I can cuddle with Em and she won't think anything of it because I'm a cuddly sleeper and she is too even though she won't admit it.

Hotch: "When we get there Rossi you and Reid go to the station and start on victimology and the geographical profile. JJ you and Morgan go to the morgue, and Prentiss you're with me at the crime scenes. Now I know these aren't your usual partners but I need to see how Prentiss works to know who to partner her up with and to evaluate her skills. Now sleep because it's only 6 and we have a long day ahead of us"

A chorus of yes', head nods, and groans of acknowledgment fill the plane as we all adjust to get some sleep. I close my eyes and wait a couple of minutes before I go and essentially hug Emily with my eyes still closed, and luckily she just readjusts and holds me close, where we both eventually fall asleep.

General POV

The whole team looks at the two and can't help but smile, Morgan of course takes a picture for his Babygirl and so he can tease them about this later. All of them forget about the detective excitedly waiting for their arrival or more specifically JJ's arrival.
