JJ's POV

I woke up to Reid shaking my shoulder to tell me we're here, and when I opened my eyes the whole team had smiles on their faces. Before I can ask why Rossi points at the sleeping person who is now in my arms, don't ask how we completely switched positions because I don't know. I can't help but smile when I realize Emily Prentiss is in my arms with her head resting on my chest, sleeping with my fingers in her hair and my arms around her back and head. But the moment didn't last forever when I remembered I had to wake her up.

I must have made a face at that because Rossi said "What's with the face". I then replied "The caffeine addict right here" I pointed to her "will not be able to be happy when I wake her up... especially if I don't have a cup of coffee on me" I sighed and went to wake her up when Garcia popped up on the computer screen and started laughing.

JJ: "what's so funny Pen"

Garcia: "first and last time you tried to wake her up without coffee, you ended up in the ER"

Morgan: "Ok now you need to explain because we still have 30 min until we land so let's hear it"

JJ: "She accidentally broke my nose, that's all that happened"

Garcia: "No... so it was 2 weeks before college started but we were all moved into the dorms because of sports teams and other things, and Emily told JJ she would go on a run with her because the Pennsylvania Petite over there didn't want to go by herself."

JJ: "OK hold on I wanted a running partner and Em was on the cross country and track team so I asked if she would go with me"

Garcia: "Ok sure but they didn't exactly discuss what time, it was around 6:45 that morning and JJ decided now was a good time to go so she went to wake Emily up. This was before we found out she wasn't a morning person because we had all just moved in the day before. Anyways JJ went to wake her up, she shook her and then we heard Emily mumble something in what I believe was French or Italian. Then JJ tried to wake her up again and this time in English Emily said 'I swear to god if you don't let me sleep I will break your nose'. JJ laughed and went to try again but as warned she got punched in the nose."

I was red with embarrassment and Garcia was interrupted by the team and the other agent bursting out in laughter. This woke up Emily which none of us realized until she asked "are you guys ok". But she asked it in a grumpy tone on accident, causing the team to start laughing even more.

Emily: "What"

Garcia: "JJ didn't want to wake you up without coffee, they asked why so I told them about the first and last time JJ did that"

Morgan: while laughing said "wait wait you didn't finish"

Gracia: "JJ might or might not have had a broken nose"

Emily: shakes her head and says "OMG it was an accident and I was like 16" which was something that greatly confused the team

JJ: "I know but we still try not to wake you up without coffee, as I said earlier in the briefing room"

Emily: "You know what, I don't even care but I am going to get some coffee"

The team calmed down and Em sat back down with a coffee and we began to land, we weren't even off the plane before I heard the indecipherable talking of a certain detective. Who I might have forgotten about and I apparently not so quietly say "Shit". And I say not so quietly because as soon as I said that the entire team was looking at me. Reid is the first to speak.

Reid: "What"

JJ: "I totally didn't completely forget Will existed"

Morgan: "Isn't he like idk your boyfriend"

JJ: "Yeah"

Will then approaches us with a giant smile on his face and starts talking in his over-the-top annoying accent.

Will: "It's good to see you all again, under unfortunate circumstances but still"

He hugs me and I kinda just stand there awkwardly because I needed to break up with him even though we've been dating for a year.

Will: "Well I don't believe we've met darling I'm WIlliam LaMontagne Jr. the lead detective on this case but you can call me Will"

He says extending his hand out to Emily

Emily: "Emily Prentiss nice to meet you, Will"

Will: "Oh we haven't been able to translate that note yet or identify all the languages Agent Hotchner, but we're trying real hard"

JJ: "Actually Emily was able to translate the whole thing"

Will: "Really now"

The whole team could see how uncomfortable Emily was even if she wasn't really showing it because you can't hide shit from profilers

Hotch: "Rossi and Reid will show you the translated note at the station, and the rest of us need to go to the crime scenes and the morgue"

This whole time the only thing going through my mind was that I needed to break up with Will and soon.

Emily's POV

Something about that detective just felt off and made me uncomfortable but I don't know what. I'll have to ask JJ later because apparently, they're dating, which makes me feel sick but I don't know why. However she kinda forgot he existed so maybe she'll break up with him because he gives me the creeps. I'm taken out of my thoughts when Hotch asks "are you ok you seemed uncomfortable back there" I simply say "I'm fine but something about the detective just gives me the creeps". He was about to ask me more but we arrived at the crime scene so I quickly got out of the car and started to walk over.
