when toshinori was young his parents died they were fighting some villain and died toshi was destroyed but when nana shimura came to visit because she was a friend to his parents he opened the door he was crying and she asked him "where are your parents toshi?" he started crying even more because obviously it hurt him "th-th-the-their d-de-dea-d" he stuttered out nana's face was full of shock she then picks him up and hugs him "hey toshi how about you live with me?" she says softly he nods ew years later at the age of 12 he got nana's quirk being one for all and the attends UA you know the rest
