Chapter 6

Keith Pov:

After i told them what happened they all looked shocked and the short vampire was the first to speak up

"WHAT THE ACTUALL HELL?! HE WAS WITH FANGLETS AND FLESHLINGS! WERE YOU PLANNING TO ATTACK THEM TOO?!!"

I let my head fall to the ground as lance decided to speak

"Calm down pidge i managed to get them back inside the wall first"

"What do you mean calm down?! You were attacked! You are probably badly injured now AND you are being held prisoner!"

The other vampire decided to speak up too but he seems more sad about everything then mad "when's the last time you even drank lance"

That's when it hit me he was really pale

I dropped his rabbit when i saw the door open

He hasn't drank today

Instead of pointing this out though he just smiled at his friends "not too long ago don't worry"

How can he say that when he is literally dying because i made a dumb mistake

I rush out to go catch him another rabbit coasing shiro to follow after me

"Where are you going" shiro says with a stern tone as he catches up to me

"Shiro he needs blood! Move!" I growl as i barge my way past him and bolt out to catch him another rabbit

Meanwhile with lance

I see keith run out the room as one of his pack members go after him

I see pidge glaring at me "why are you lying to us lance"

I was about to argue back that i wasn't when she cuts me off by continuing

"How stupid do you think we are! You look like a zombie"

I don't know how to argue with that seing as she isnt lying, my entire body hurts like hell especially in the parts that were already wounded and not only do i feel bad i must look awful too

"What are you talking about?" i hear one of the werewolves with long white hair say as she walks up to us

"Without blood he will die and lance looks like he hasn't had blood for too long" hunk explains to the pack

They all just look at me with shocked expressions on their faces

While I'm distracted by the pack pidge reaches out to put a hand on my shoulder causing me to wince as i immediately flinch back

She hisses at that and even hunk looks mad

My vision is starting to become blurry and i hear ringing in my ears so i can't really tell what's happening

I just hope keith gets back soon

Keith's Pov:

I caught a rabbit and booted home faster then i ever have

I didn't waste time transforming as i ran inside and up the stairs to my room

I entered the room and i saw lance looking worse then last time and the vampires are trying to get the wolves back from him but the pack keeps trying to see if he is OK

I growl loudly and threateningly which causes everyone to get out my way as i walk past them to lance

I drop the rabbit next to his head but he doesn't move

I nudge his face with my nose and i hear him groan

He opens his eyes and it looks like it took all his strength to even do that

His pupils look less of an ocean blue and more of a extremely pale blue

I nudge the rabbit closer to him and his eyes fall to it

He shakily lifts his head and digs his fangs into it

Everyone seems to calm down including me when we see the life return to his body

I grab clothes from my dresser and head into the bathroom to transform as i hear arguing still coming from the room

Once I'm changed i go back into the room and they don't seem as much at each others throughts as before

From what i heard through the door i would probably guess lance managed to calm them down somehow

After the whole ideal with lance a question comes to mind

I turn to the two vampires "when's the last time you guys had blood" i say as i head to sit next to my pack

"Couple hours but don't worry we won't die without it" the short one says with a shrug

"How not? From what I've seen you get pretty close" allura says as she looks at lance

"Lance is different he was born a grand vampire the rest of us are just vampires" The taller explained

"What's the difference?" I asked considering how they looked the same and lance seemed as fast as normal vampire

The short one sighed before continuing the explanation "grand vampires get their strength from the sun so when its night they are pretty much just normal vampires"

"And what about during the day?" Shiro asks deciding to join in

"They are better compared to gods but it also comes with a downside. They can only go a day without blood before dying" the taller of the two says

"However normal vamps like us can go days without it and not feel affected but even after that we don't die we just get very pissed off" the short one continues

The pack nods in understanding before coran speaks up

"And what are your names, may i ask?"

They look at us questiongly before shrugging it off

"I'm pidge and this is hunk" the shorter says

"And I'm sure you already know lance" she says as as she shoots me a icy glare

I then turn my attention to lance "so if you get the strength of a god how come you haven't escaped by now"

He shrugs which causes him to wince from the pain in his shoulder before answering "i would have seemed a threat"

"Plus the coward doesn't like violence he would rather be killed" pidge says glaring at lance

I chuckled "say that to the scaring wound he gave me"

The others looked shocked at me then lance

"Hey! You jaw locked to my shoulder i only did that to get you off!" Lance protested

"Can you at least untie him?" Hunk asked changing the subject

I head over to untie him and there are slight marks on his wrists from the ropes

I feel kind of....guilty....about everything
