Narrators POV

Shane Madej is a normal guy. His schedule consists of getting up, grabbing his daily coffee, going to work, coming home, and then going to sleep. There is nothing out of the ordinary about him.

Except, of course, he's in love with his best friend.

You may be thinking 'Well everyone has a crush every so often. It's not that different.' Well, his is different. He's in love with his best friend. Like, VERY in love with his best friend.

Would he ever admit this? Of course not.

Instead when ever he's around him he swallows his feelings and acts like nothing is different, even though everything has been different ever since he realized his infatuation with him. You see, it happened on an ordinary night. They were out searching for bigfoot and they had stayed the night in the forest. They were roasting marshmallows when Ryan giggled. It was an ordinary giggle, nothing about it was different then the thousands of times he's giggled at Shane before.

But somehow it was different to Shane.

Instead of laughing along with him, Shane looked over at him and under his breathe went 'fuck'. He had realized what that feeling in his stomach when Ryan looked at him was.

From that moment on, Ryan Bergara wasn't just a guy he liked to hangout with. Ryan Bergara was the guy Shane Madej was in love with.

Did Ryan Bergara know this? Nope.

Ryan was one of those guys who is very intelligent, but could never in a million years see you have a crush on him.

He also obviously liked girls. So what was the point of Shane being attracted to him?

Shane would envy his girlfriends. He had a new one every other month. Ryan always seemed to genuinely care for them, but he never held one for more then 3 months, tops.

But here's the thing. Ryan wasn't genuinely in love with them.

'WHATT????' I hear you saying. I know, it's very shocking that the "no homo" Ryan Bergara wasn't attracted to girls, but he didn't understand this. Yes, he cared a lot about them and always wanted the best for them, but the feelings he felt for them were platonic. He didn't understand his feelings very well and assumed these emotions were romantic. He assumed that the emotion "love" was just very hyped up in media and that it was actually a soft emotion.

I know what you're thinking, 'Well shouldn't someone know their own feelings?' Well actually, a lot of people struggle with their emotions. Many, many times people confuse platonic feelings with romantic feelings and it sucks.

'So who is Ryan attracted to then?' You ask. Ryan is actually attracted to Shane, though he doesn't realize those feelings are romantic.

I mean, would it be a good story if they just got together with no problems?

No, of course not.

So here they are. Sitting in their shared office, editing one of their newest buzzfeed unsolved episodes. Hopefully something eventful happens.
