Chapter Forty One

Glimmer's rage burned like fire and ash from the deepest darkest volcano. Nellie had fed them lies. And they fell for it. Even Tam. Glimmer had seen the flicker of unease across his face as he had been sucked into the light. He didn't vote for her though. Only that weak Chebota girl had dared to vote her. Maybe not as weak as Glimmer had thought. But the rest of them were weak cowards. Glimmers neck craned over to see that boy or "Keefe" from before. His eye's had bags under them. His cell was cramped and tiny. Hers was large. That made Glimmer smirk. "You two, follow me." Said Ruy. Glimmer reached her hands through the bars and Ruy snapped the yellow bonds onto her wrists. Glimmer bit her lip as her back straightened out. "Awaiting instruction." She said. 

Keefe's eye's widened as Ruy approached his cell. Glimmer stood with her arms reached through the bars of her cell, her back aching as it stood straight and sharp while Keefe refused to wear the bonds. At least a little Glimmer must have remained because she mustered up the strength to turn her head and give him a sharp glare. He reluctantly allowed the cuffs to clack around his wrists. His back straightened and he said, "Awaiting instruction." Keefe glanced at Glimmer and so did Ruy. She put her arms down and her cell door opened. So did Keefe's. "Come." Said Ruy. Glimmers body jerked forwards as she followed Ruy and Keefe back into the same familiar room. "Stand." Said Ruy. He pointed right next to Glimmer. Keefe moved next to her. Ruy touched the gloves on Glimmers hand and they peeled away. "Hold her hand." Said Ruy. Glimmer gave Ruy a look of humorous disgust as Keefe took her hand. His mask slipped for a second but he coughed sharply and returned to his normal demeanor. Glimmer closed her eye's as senses filled the room. A sharp tingling feeling slipped through her body coming from Keefe. Fear. Another emotion clogged her throat and made her body burst into heat. Anger. From Ruy. Keefe dropped her hand quickly and Glimmers body became normal temperature. "Interesting." Said Ruy.

"What was that?" Asked Keefe. "Her new powers of course, and no, Mr. Sencen, the key to giving away those powers is...gone." Keefe's eye's widened. Biana. "What did she do?" Asked Keefe. "When coming into contact, Glimmer can use the person who she is touching's ability." Said Ruy. Keefe looked skeptic. Ruy sighed and took Glimmers hand. Glimmer gasped as a force field of zinging energy appeared. Ruy instantly let go of her hand and it vanished.

Keefe took a step back. "How did you...?" "I'm afraid thats classified Mr. Sencen." Said a new voice. Nellie.
