The Scandal (Under Edit)

CHAPTER 29

The next morning I woke up all excited a little before noon. Quickly showered and got ready in a black graphic tee tucked into my black joggers. Due to all the excitement, I did not have an appetite at all but still I forced myself to have a bowl of cereal.

Ashton sent a text message saying he is almost on his way to pick me up. Washing my bowl, I quickly checked my things one last time and grabbed my sunglasses.

While deciding what to do with my hair, I get another message saying he reached so I leave it down and wearing my sunglasses I head down with my luggage, and get inside the black Cadilaac quickly. 

Ashton and Mario were already sitting inside .

"Damn Rey, this is the first time I'm seeing you in all black. You look like a baddie", Mariano commented.

Ashton too looked up and saw me but he didn't say anything and was quite unlike his usual self.

What's up with him? He was fine till last night. Maybe I should talk to him later and see if everything's fine

We were going to travel by Ashton's private jet, and the others - Noah, the director Colin and his assistant Luke, another body guard Jim were also travelling with us and were going to meet us directly at the airport.

Whereas the other production team members were arranged a different chartered jet.

When we reached the airport, I got to see the plane and boy it was so majestic.

My face could not really hide the expression of awe. From the corner of my eyes I saw Ashton looking at me but before I could turn and talk to him everyone proceeded to go inside.

The inside was real luxury, it did not even look like I was inside a plane but rather looked like a fancy hotel room.

"Aubrey! Over here!", Noah called waving at me to join him.

I looked around and saw everybody were seated. Mike and Jim sat together more towards the front side. Ashton and Mario joined Colin and Luke at the sitting area. So I joined Noah, who was sitting at the chairs with a table in between.

After we took off the plane filled with light chatter. Noah broached the subject of last night.

"Once again thank you Rey for last night! I don't wanna say this but those trio are a real bitch to deal with. Out of politeness we made arrangements at our cottage even though it was not our job, but why tf ask us to book rooms for them like what tf is she is an assistant for.", Noah said annoyed.

"I don't know she was like the cottages are not for someone like Liliana's standards. They would prefer staying at some luxurious hotel instead. Tbh, I only did it for you and Ashton as I did not want any hiccups when we've come this far", I answered him.

"My ass standards. Those are not some random cabin in the woods. Those are private properties of top holiday resorts that comes with a better privacy and security than the hotels. Plus we have a team of staffs at our service. If only they knew we were able to get to stay there only because of Ashton"

"Really, I didn't know that", I said surprised with the last piece of information.

"Yeah, when you mentioned this place among the top choice to stay so I tried speaking to the management to rent it to us but he refused. I was going to go with the next choice but Ashton told me he will talk and get this done. So he personally spoke to the owners as they don't rent it to just anybody", he revealed.

"Wow, this guy is really something", I said about Ashton and automatically my eyes went to him, he was looking here but then he turned back to the conversation with the guys.
