Not even 30 minutes after the conversation the Fire department was able to pry the doors open. The two boys were relieved, relieved to be able to get out of the cramped elevator, to be able to breathe. But Reid, he knew that Morgan knew everything about him now. He had growing anxiety about it. He was scared that he was going to go off and tell the team everything that he had told them. He couldn't, no. He wouldn't forgive himself if the team found out. He knew the team would blame themselves for not seeing the signs. That was another reason he kept it all to himself. He knew it would end badly with the team. So keeping it inside was the best he could do.

They both got out of the elevator, with a happy look on their faces. Reid looked as if he might cry with relief, though he did try his best to hide it. Morgan on the other hand was beaming with joy. The joy that he knew he hadn't felt in forever. Though he was still concerned with his friend.

He looked over at Reid and saw that his eyes were tearing up. "Hey, it's okay. We weren't going to stay in there forever." Morgan said while wrapping his arms around the boy.

That's when he heard the pitter-patter of feet on the stairs. Not just one pair but multiple pairs of feet. Morgan saw the team all standing there, a look of relief on their faces. As if they thought they would never see them again. Everyone knew that it wasn't true, but they couldn't help but overthink. It was like it was something embedded in them. They also saw the fragile boy crying in Morgan's arms. Morgan just shook his head, telling them not to talk about it.

"We thought we never see you guys again," JJ said with a sound of relief filling her voice. It was kinda funny if you think about it. Wasn't JJ who would get everyone into trouble. Guess this time it was Spencer and Morgan to be making all the trouble.

Spencer looked up and saw some of his team members standing there. It kinda freaked him out. How long have they been standing there? Were they going to make fun of him? How much did they see? Did they know anything? With all of these thoughts going through his head, he couldn't help but feel his breathing start to speed up and his eyes start to water up again.

Morgan saw that this was happening and just brought him back into his arms. Giving the boy all the comfort that he needs. "Hey... It's okay... No one is here to hurt you." Morgan tried to calm the boy down, but he kept thinking that they knew. That they knew about his addiction, his depression. Just everything.

"D-Do... They... K-know..?" then it hit Derek like a wave. He thought that he told them everything, or at least that they saw everything that went on in the elevator.

Morgan let out a sigh, he thought that it was a lot more than that. He was thankful that it wasn't, "No... They don't." Morgan whispered into Reid's ear. Somehow that comforted him. His breathing started to calm down and he was starting to feel better. Who knew that Morgan would be the one comforting the genius. Who knew that he would even be in this situation, to begin with.

After all, of the comforting Hotch decided it was his turn to talk, "We caught the man behind the murders. So we are going home later tonight." Everyone nodded their head and left the building. Well everyone except Morgan and Reid. Reid took a deep breath, "I'm sorry." Morgan looked at him weirdly. This was like the 8th time that this boy said 'I'm sorry' today, not that it was annoying him, but it scared him. Why did he say sorry so much? It didn't make sense.

"Huh? There's nothing to be sorry about Reid.." Morgan said with a sly smile on his face. He knew that giving him any type of reassurance, hoping that it would give the boy something to latch on to. Something that wasn't the drugs or the self-loathing. He knew Reid needed something healthy, hoping that even a smile would be better than everything.

"Sorry.." He said quietly then he caught himself. It only made Derek laugh. He knew it was a habit and he wasn't going to force him to break it. It wasn't a bad one, so why care? Reid also put a small smile on his face.

"I guess we should go back to the hotel," Morgan said while going towards the door. Reid just nodded his head in agreement.

That's when they left that crappy apartment building and went to the hotels.

That day was forever going to change the relationship between the two. They knew that they have grown closer and that they were no longer going to be able to keep their feelings a secret. It was all too much. Too much for them to keep in, to be able to keep to themselves. No. Soon these emotions will spill and everything would change.
