"Luke! Breakfast please?" He hands me a plate of French toast.
"I love you." Lilith says after taking a bite. "I really need to get groceries but it's been crazy at Doose's Market this past week and Taylor's refusing to hire someone new."
"Take my word for it he'll be begging for help by the end of the month."
"A month?"
"It's Taylor."
"Ugh. Damnit, I'm just gonna have to suck it up and go when it's busy aren't I?"
"You could always try to get in when they open, there aren't many people there then."
"I'll have to do it Saturday morning then."
"So that's the uniform huh?" She looks at Luke a mouth full of syrupy French toast and nods. "What time does your bus come?"
"6:30" She tells him looking at her watch. "Crap, I gotta go." Lilith says picking up the to-go cup of black chai tea he sets in front of her. "You're the best! See ya later Luke!" She say as she grabs a handful of sugar packets.
"All that sugar can kill you!" He yells after her as she races out the door.

Chilton was imposing with it's large gates, large stone buildings, bell tower, and gargoyles staring out from every corner. "There you are!" Emily's voice comes from up ahead.
"Grandma? What are you doing here?"
"Well I wanted to wish you luck on your first day of school and let an old friend know one of my granddaughters was attending his school. Don't you just look adorable in your uniform."
"Thanks Grandma."
"Come on, I'll show you where the headmaster's office is. Would you like me to go in with you?"
"I think I'll be ok once you show me there, Grandma."
"Alright then." She says while tucking a stray hair back in place.

"Well you're clearly a very bright girl, Miss Gilmore."

"Perfect grades. Teachers like you. A number of school activities that I see you will be continuing here at Chilton, amongst them the dance team and varsity cheerleading as well as the martial arts and FBLA clubs." Headmaster Hanlin Charleston says as he looks through her file.
"I've also worked at my great-aunt's ice-cream shop every summer since I was 14 and tutor a friend from Stars Hollow in French while she tutors me Korean."
