"guys move in."

a voice came from down the dark hallway. however, they were speaking english, not common for down here.

you heard gun shots, but it wasn't the guns you were used to hearing.

you looked towards the glass doors, the scratches and dents are more visible with the little light streaming in. sadly, still impenetrable, even though you've tried to prove them wrong.

you uncurled from the ball on the hard bed of your cell. well, if you call a shelf long enough to fit a person a bed. you sat with your legs straight out, back against the wall, not facing the entrance. you didn't care who was coming, you'd had worse done to you anyway.

"hey, there's civilians down here," the same voice called.

it seemed they were talking to someone but you never heard a response.

"i'm going to try to see if i can let them out." ha, you don't want me out of here.

after a few failed attempts, they found the button to open the doors. for the first time in what seemed like forever, your door slid open and there was no one to drag you out by your hair. but you didn't move. you weren't sure if you could run out of here, you were just too weak from the last time you were used.

you heard your "roommates" run towards the exit. there are only about 6 of us down here but somehow you got the lucky back corner.

"come this way, we're here to help you." the voice continued as you heard footsteps up the ladder.

"have you got them all?" this time a different voice spoke.

"i'll go check." no no no, they're coming towards me.

the man makes it to your cell and runs in to lean down by you. he looks into your eyes,

"hey, can you hear me?" you only blink at him.

"hey buck i don't this this ones gonna make it out without help. she seems to be elsewhere."

"hold on, i'm coming down." you heard a boom and turned your head towards the door.

"hey, she moved. she's somewhat conscious." shit.

"why'd she turn?" the voice is getting closer, the man is walking towards you, a loud boom with each step.

"i'm not sure, it was when you jumped down so maybe that sound is a familiar trigger?" you turn to face the man squatting in front of you. you finally get a good look at him, eyes up and down. blue suit? stars? a shield? you knew who this was. the files didn't disappoint. wait-

the man gets to your cell and stops right outside. you slowly turn your head from wonder boy to finally lock eyes with this new voice. fuck.

your eyes open a little in shock. "looks like someone knows you." wonder boy stated. you're not sure how you know him yet, but somehow you know you've seen him before.

you quickly land you eyes back in the blue of cap's. you exhale and smirk a little.

"okay, let's get her out of here." cap says as he stands up. "wanna take that mask off your face?" you forgotten about it. a black mask covers the left side of your face, concealing scars you can't remember getting. you shake your head at him. "can you walk?" you look up at him and start the process. you use the wall for stability as you make your way up to standing to face him. he looks at you as you start to walk to the door only to become unsteady and fall to your knees. cap catches you under the arms before your completely hit the floor, your head hangs in defeat.

"you got her?" he asks. the metal armed man nods and squats beside you.

"put your arms around me." he says softly as you look at him. you nod slowly and slink your arms around his neck. he lifts you up, one arm supporting your back, the other under your knees. cap walks in front of you towards the ladder and makes his way up.
